This weekend we welcome The Oklahoma Buckskin Horse Association to the indoor arena!

We will also be having the FINAL flea market for the year inside the air conditioned expo hall! The Claremore High School Band will be here doing a small concession as a fundraiser and Nothing Bundt Cake will also be on site doing a fundraiser! Come out and see us this weekend and support the High School band while shopping the flea market or watching the horse show!

Get ready Claremore! This super cool event kicks off this week!

Car enthusiasts from across the country will gather in Claremore this week for the 50th Mid America Ford Shelby Nationals. From June 19 to 23, Ford, Mustang and Shelby owners will gather for the yearly event to show off their performance cars and trucks at the Claremore Expo Center, paying homage to the illustrious heritage of these performance vehicles.

The event kicks off Thursday, June 20, with a free public Street Party featuring food trucks, live music, a kids zone, and a special participant reunion cruise at the Claremore Expo Center from 6 – 10 p.m. Club members will enjoy private racing events throughout the week at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit and Tulsa Raceway Park, and festivities will wrap on Sunday, June 23, with the Cars and Coffee Show at the Claremore Expo from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., bringing together all car enthusiasts to showcase any make or model of vehicle.

Bottled water donations are being requested for first responders, linemen and dispaced residents. All donated water must be sealed, and pallets will be accepted. Donations can be delivered between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m to the Claremore Expo Center located at 400 S Veterans Pkwy. Your support in aiding our community is greatly appreciated.

It is Memorial Day Weekend, Claremore! City offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, in remembrance of those brave individuals who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Trash collection will be delayed by one day. For example, all Monday routes will be picked up on Tuesday, and Tuesday routes on Wednesday, etc.

We also anticipate a higher level of traffic at Woodlawn Cemetery this weekend as residents remember and honor loved ones. Due to the recent heavy rains, conditions have not been conducive for mowing and other grounds-keeping efforts. Crews are monitoring the ground conditions and will resume maintenance activities as soon as possible.

As an additional reminder, Lake Road will be closed to through traffic starting at 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo. Complimentary shuttle service is available to the rodeo from the Robson PAC and Andy Payne Track from 5:45 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.
