It is with a heavy heart, but also excitement, that I announce the closing of Every Detail Event Planning and some changes for me!

This business started for me as a way to help brides, grooms, parents, etc. with the special days they were planning. I have met so many amazing couples and families, that I’m so grateful for. I’m so thankful for the friendships made over the 13 years of business.

While I’m not fully going away from weddings, I’m just changing courses. My husband and I have started a little restaurant in Clarksville, Wild Flour Bake Shop, and also provide catering through the shop or BlackBird Provisions. I will still be doing some planning but only if catering is booked as well. With have 3 kiddos now, 9, 7 and 18 months, I can’t be the mom I want to be with being gone on so many weekends.

Thank you all for the love and support over the last 13 years. The friendships I’ve made, the amazing weddings I’ve witnessed, and the confidence this business gave me will always be apart of me and who I am.

This was such a fun change of pace! I loved working with Tobias to plan his proposal to Becky!

They enjoyed a nice dinner downtown at Edward’s Steakhouse. Then came out to the cut little gazebo in downtown Clarksville decorated and ready for him to propose!

Saturday was such a fun wedding day! It was so nice to see this amazing couple’s wedding come together after months of planning! I assisted with full planning, which includes day of coordination with set up and tear down assistance.

Due to COVID-19 this couple had to cut their guest list about a month before their wedding. Then the day before their wedding the air conditioning system at their venue had problems. Luckily for us the other venue at the park was available. Once I got the call we had new plans and vendors contacted within the hour.

Even with the craziness their wedding turned out better than they expected. This couple and their family was so much fun to work with. I love the way everything turned out for them! Congratulations Tametra and Brian!

Yesterday’s set up for the Veteran’s Reconnect hosted by Austin Peay State University. On top of coordinating and setting up/tearing down the event I also coordinated for the amazingly talented to provide desserts. I assisted him with his decor and a very small part of the desserts. This was such a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple! I loved everything about this wedding! Even though it rained everything was perfect. The ceremony was still able to be outside under the deck out back. The ceremony had such an intimate feel and so much love.

The reception had an amazing brunch for dinner, gorgeous elegant decor and this venue! The Cedars at Carr Farm is such a beautiful venue all the way around. The owners are amazing and so is the space! When outside all you see are trees and hills. It’s perfect for an outdoor wedding.

The bride and mother of the bride did all of the decor themselves. The father of the bride made all the boxes for the centerpieces to go in. Such beautiful craftsmanship.

I cannot wait to see the photos and video from Chelsea and Hannah Photography and Black Mountain Photo and Cinema. They were both so easy and great to work with!

I love working with all my brides and their families and this one was exceptional!

Long Post Warning! I promise it’s worth it though!

What a great day yesterday for Grayson and Katlyn’s wedding! Such a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding.

I’m asked a lot about what I do, so I decided to take some photos to show the progression of the day from what I do.

I arrived at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at 7:45am. The bride and her family arrived at 8 to drop off all of their decorations. Once everything was sorted we got to work.

First step, place the linens on 28 round tables for the guests, 6 banquet tables for the head table, 2 cake tables, a gift table and a guest book table.

Next, we arranged their centerpieces. Then we made sure the chairs are evenly spaced. Once that is completed we moved on to placing the napkins, chargers, thank you not and a small sprig of rosemary. After we finished with the guest tables we moved on the arranging the decor for the gift table and guest book table.

We also greet all the vendors when they arrive and show them where they will be set up and offer help if needed.

Once everything is set I leave my assistant at the reception to help with vendors and make sure the reception is ready for when the guests arrive and I head to the ceremony. I make sure that everyone is on schedule and where they need to be before the ceremony. At 5 minutes prior to ceremony start time we start lining up the family and wedding party. The most important time for me starting is the ceremony. If it doesn’t start on time, nothing else will.

Once the bride is down the aisle, I close the doors and begin loading their belongings from the entrance area. After the ceremony I make sure the whole wedding party knows where to go and I gather any items still at the ceremony location (flowers, etc.). I then head back to the reception and set out the decorations brought from the ceremony location (we try to reuse anything we can to help save the couple money).

After everyone arrives I work with the DJ/Band to announce in the wedding party and begin the reception. I will make the brides plate and drink and bring it to the table so she doesn’t have to carry her food. I then work with the DJ/Band to keep the reception on track.

At the end of the night I pack up all of the couples belongings and clean up to the specifications of the venue. I left the reception venue last night at 11:30pm.

This does not include the meetings ahead of time to configure the layout, timeline and ceremony order. Plus, the calls with vendors to confirm what they are providing, answer any questions and make sure they know the timeline for the day. I also include 1 hour of rehearsal time the night before.

This past weekend I had the privilege of helping with an “End of Chemo” party for a very sweet 5 year old. For the last 3 years he has been undergoing chemo to treat his cancer. Thank goodness that is over. This little boy has been prayed for and supported by an amazing community of people. I am so blessed to say I know this sweet boy and his amazing family. I’m so excited for sweet Harper to have no more chemo! Thank you for allowing me to be apart of what I consider my favorite event I’ve ever been apart of! Way to go Harper! You kicked cancers butt!!
