We’ve been sitting in a cozy quiet rainy window writing this week’s SHOP MENU and it shows. We’ve got a perfect blend of old school comfort food classics like our house made Meatloaf and Mash meal packed for two as well as the seasons final run of our ever popular Overnight Pot Roast and gravy! This rain you’re seeing now isn’t going away and with cold temps and rain we brought out 2 killer Soups this week in the Classic Chicken Noodle and a tingly new creamy Chicken Poblano Soup! The “Saturday Morning Breakfast” is back as well as the long awaited return of our Munchie Boxes! We’ve hit a nice groove at the Takeaway Shop and bangers will keep coming!

Overnight Pot Roast
With the weather looking like classic February we felt we could bring this one out for what could possibly be its last run of the Winter! We slow cook beef overnight for 12 hours until it’s fall apart tender! We set this over our scratch russet mashed potato and then smother in a scratch herbed beef gravy! We garnish with fresh cut Parmesan roasted carrots and fresh thyme!

You’ve probably seen this Egg at the Bakery, it’s been it its place since opening our Bakery doors 2 years ago and it propose is symbolic. The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs is a fable by Aesop, an ancient Greek storyteller. The story is about a man and his wife who own a goose that lays golden eggs every day. The moral of the story is that greed is bad and that it's better to be patient and appreciate slow rewards. The fable has inspired the idiom "killing the goose that lays the golden eggs”. Nicoletta’s entire brand was built upon this mindset, the long game. Exhibiting patience in our business over the past 12 years has never failed us.

Eggs are present in just about everything we do from the Takeaway Program to the Catering and Event side not to mention the Sango Bakery… scrambled, fried, mixed into your scratch Italian Meatballs for your event, folded into custard for your Quiche at the Takeaway Shop, fluffed into waffles, or baked into cakes and cookies at the Sango Bakery. But one thing you won’t find them in? An “egg surcharge.”

No price hikes and no surprise fees, just the same scratch-made goodness at the same prices you know and love.

Today is kinda important to us for “2” reasons… one, today is Valentine’s Day and the Bakery is going to be extra sweet and absolutely crazy! ❤️

Secondly… exactly 2 years ago today we opened the Sango Bakery doors for the very first time. We know food and we know how to run business but we know absolutely nothing about the Bakery world. Clarksville and especially the Sango side of town has absolutely embraced us with loving arms and shown us an incredible amount of support. I guess this is probably the best time to drop it on you that we have done so well that we are now expanding to the next unit next-door and reopening the Bagel/Sandwich Shop! The Bakers need more room and we miss making sandwiches so it’s a win-win for everyone! We will be making that move and starting to renovate the space in March!

So… we will probably call on you again for some support in getting the second unit up and running and again thank you so much for the love… here’s to many more birthdays!

Whoa. Yesterday was the first pick-up day for the Valentines week and that was SUPPOSED to be a warm up for today and tomorrow…. SMH… Y’all put Shelbye in the weeds and hit the cases HARD. Today we have a ton of pick ups scheduled and the case will have ⭐️extras⭐️! It’s going to be a bit crazy and we have both Caleb and Lexi at the counter to help decrease your wait time! How is it we move so many salads even in February? Well it may be because they’re not your everyday salads with boring ingredients. It may be because we make them fresh the morning you pick them up. Or… it may be the quality ingredients we use inclusive of our house made dressings! This week’s Roma Salad is half leafy greens and half basil pesto farfalle pasta (because you can’t run from Carbs!) with chargrilled chicken, fresh mozzarella balls, sun-dried tomato and scratch honey balsamic vinaigrette!
