Since 1965, Clatskanie Floral has been known for its high quality floral arrangements for all occasions. It was first established by a lifelong Clatskanie resident, Elena Multanen and her husband Cliff. They grew flowers in their greenhouses to use in their floral shop. Elena attended the Floral Design Institute in Portland and was a certified florist. In 1986, Elena sold Clatskanie Floral and it passed through the hands of four more owners, changing locations and styles along the way.
Then on July 5th, 2017 Clatskanie Floral was purchased by Linda and Angelo DePersis, Clatskanie residents and farmers. In some ways, Clatskanie Floral has come full circle with similarities to its original founders. Like Elena, Linda has attended the Floral Design Institute in Portland and is an FDI certified florist, staying current with her skills and continuing her training in the floral design world. Linda and Angelo are also specialty cut flower growers and have a 17 acre farm on the d**e lands in Clatskanie- growing flowers in the field and in green houses. You may recognize them as the farmers behind Barefoot Farm & Flowers who have been providing vegetables, meat, dairy and flowers since they began farming in Clatskanie in 2008.
In the year since purchasing and moving Clatskanie Floral to Grannis Square, Linda has been working hard at restoring the business to a flower and plant focused full service floral shop.
