Are you in need of a palate cleanser on your feed? Well, do I have the SWEETEST 💜 corsages for the tiniest dancers to share with you (the tulle 😍) 🌸

I had the pleasure of designing these adorable wrist corsages for a hometown daddy-daughter dance this weekend 💞

I'm used to designing for weddings & well, for grown-ups, so being a momma & an auntie myself, I knew I had to improvise to make these corsages work on much smaller models. I needed options. So these designs have 3! 💕

1. Elastic
2. Chiffon tie
3. Combo of both for extra security (for our high energy models 😊)

The dried floral used has such a unique & fun texture that you don't normally find when ordering a corsage. Dried floral doesn't wilt, and if not damaged with wear, it can be easily preserved or reworn over and over. Oh, and the dried strawflowers & gomphrena flowers were all grown locally, here in Clawson, MI at Heather's Victory Gardens 💐

I had to wait a few days to post this because this blue beauty 😍 💙💐 was designed for a Detroit Lions part-ay and we have been in mourning here in the D...💙🦁🏈🤍

Our beloved Lions didn't win 😢, but we found a 'Honolulu Blue' floral winner with some crafty spray painting teamed with blue hydrangea, silver dollar eucalyptus, + more that brought major plays!

Blue is oh so hard to find naturally in flowers, let alone 'Honolulu Blue' in January, but we LOVED this challenge, and of course, we LOVE all things Detroit 🫶💙🦁🏈🤍

This was such a fun project!!! ☁️💠☁️

We installed the CUTEST baby's breath clouds at Hance Photography Studio yesterday. While I love the smell of Christmas greens and all the gold & holly that comes with the season, it was so nice taking a detour from that and getting a chance to work on these cute clouds that can be arranged as needed for photo shoots at Hance studios.

Such a beautiful couple, and when I tell you the color palate of the wedding floral came ALIVE as the bride, and I talked through her inspiration and vibe of their wedding 🌿👰‍♀🍂💐!! The colors & flowers are all very autumn 🍂 appropriate (dahlias, mums, lisis +), but the colors have been slightly softened, perfect for bridal work 👰‍♀

I do my very best to ensure all of my clients' visions are brought to life, and because I make it a point to get to know you - I weave in personal & symbolic touches to every design... 🌿

It's October 22, 2024 in SE Michigan, and I still have zinnias 🏵 growing and pollinators 🦋 enjoying the garden. While I'm so happy to give the pollinators a place to land, rest and refuel - it does give me pause on how much the weather & climate keeps changing so significantly and so fast from year to year.

As a gardener and one who works with the seasons, these are messages I continue to receive and document from Mother Nature. As a receiver of this message, I thought I'd pass along to those who also care to listen.

The next coming weeks are going to be very stressful on many and could have potential long-term impacts on women, children, minorities, LGBTQIA+, the vulnerable, the environment, and more. If you feel overwhelmed or stressed, take as many moments as you need and consider connecting with nature. Go for a walk and listen to the sounds of birds & squirrels, look at the colorful changes of leaves and find peace in the natural shifts of nature - try to find your version of hope in all mother nature provides 🫶

I hope these gorgeous girlies had the bestest 🫶 time dining + dancing for HOCO this weekend ✨️

We did a mini bouquet 'posey' bar where each gal got to pick flowers they felt complimented their dress &/or vibe. We also covered a brief review on flower care, and then they were off to get dolled up for the evening's festivities 🎉

HVG's busiest week kicked off by being a part of a very cool birthday celebration, and I got to work with one of the most bespoke (read neatest!!) 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛ wood centerpieces I've ever seen. When I tell you this piece was big, I mean BIG! Like 4' long x 1'+ wide in different places 👀

Your girl likes a challenge (scroll to see progress), and the lovely hosts of the party are both chefs who appreciate color 🌈

The green of the hydrangeas created a full and almost neutral backdrop so I could bring in loud punches of orange marigolds 🏵 and bold bright zinnias 🌸 Each guest had a delish half pint jar/aka mini vase with their place setting 🌱- filled with a culinary blend of florals such as lemon basil, lavender, marigolds + more!

I try to work symbolism and meaning ✨️ into every floral design I send out. Sometimes, that is done with scent or color, and other times, a particular flower may have special meaning to a group or culture. I love learning about why people are celebrating or being celebrated/remembered. This helps me give you and yours a truly thoughtful and meaningful floral experience 🫶💐
