Despite a hurricane, we raised over $11,000 for Place of Hope North Georgia. Looking forward to athletes returning to the field next year.

For the North Georgia Highland Games for Charity, I collected $1,978.00 of athlete registration money after fees. When the game was cancelled due to Hurricane Helene, I asked the athletes to allow me to keep the registration money instead of issuing refunds. The overwhelming majority agreed and did not ask for a refund. This is the result of your generosity. Combined with what Brian Cavender was able to raise, the total donated to the home was $11,000. Thank you.

Thanks for those that could make it out Saturday and support Place of Hope North Georgia with donations over $1000 and counting. We will continue to update as more comes in.

As news of the devastation around us continues to come out, this song is one of bravery and steadfastness. I couldn’t think of something better than this to encourage communities to stand together and be a Ghillie by serving each other.

We are excited to announce we will still be gathering THIS Saturday from 10-4pm at the Rabun County Civic Center pavilions. We will not be having the athletics, but there will be plenty of fun to experience at the festival. Clans, vendors, food, children’s activities, chainsaw art, blacksmithing, face painting, live music and more!
