The program will feature works by American composers, highlighting a diverse range of genres and styles, including traditional chamber music, TV and movie scores, jazz, and pop, all while honoring our nation's veterans and their supporting communities.

This , we’re celebrating the incredible Black artists who have performed on our stage. This past year alone, we've been wowed by the powerhouse vocals of Yolanda W. Rabun, the electrifying performances of Masters of Soul and the poetic brilliance of Daron P. Stewart in Soul of Langston. We also welcomed The Drifters, the legendary performers whose timeless hits still move audiences, and the entertaining magic of the Reggie Rice Show, who left us all in awe.

For nearly 25 years, The Clayton Center has been a stage for excellence and diversity in the performing arts, and we’re proud to continue that tradition. Join us in celebrating these incredible artists and their lasting impact!

WEATHER UPDATE
The Clayton Center and box office will remain CLOSED on Thursday, February 20, along with all other Town of Clayton, NC Government facilities. Please check back throughout the day Thursday for scheduling updates.

Due to hazardous road conditions caused by this winter weather storm, all Town Facilities will be closed Tomorrow, Thurday, Feb 20. This includes all activities and programming at Town Hall, The Clayton Center, Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library, Clayton Community Center, and all parks and greenways.

Please continue to avoid unnecessary traveling as road conditions in many areas will be treacherous.

If needed, report power outages using the Clayton Outage and Messaging System (COMS):

• Report online at ClaytonNC.org/COMS.

Yesterday it was a SHOW day and today it's a SNOW day! The Town of Clayton facilities closure includes The Clayton Center and box office.

UPDATE (2/19): All Town Facilities will close early Today, Wednesday, Feb 19 at 11 a.m..

Due to the incoming winter weather, all Town Facilities will be closing early Tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb 19 at Noon.

All Wednesday afternoon and evening programming is cancelled. This includes all activities at Town Hall, The Clayton Center, Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library, and the Clayton Community Center. All parks and greenways will close at noon as well.

With snow, icy roads, and freezing temperatures, staying home is the safest choice. Avoid unnecessary travel to protect yourself, your loved ones, our first responders, and others on the road. Let’s work together to stay safe and warm, Clayton.

🌟 Meet Our Amazing Scene Stealers! 🌟

Our volunteers are the heart of The Clayton Center, welcoming guests with warm smiles and helping create an unforgettable experience. They put in countless hours to make every show special, and we couldn’t do what we do without them!

We’re excited to introduce these incredible folks in a series of posts—so stay tuned, and be sure to say hello when you see them at a show! 👋🎭💛

Our first introduction is to Vicki Hole, a dedicated Scene Stealer volunteer at The Clayton Center since 2015. She and her husband, Stan, moved to Clayton from Aurora, Il, and were introduced to the program by their daughter, Kimberly—also a volunteer. Vicki’s warm presence at events each month earned her and Stan the Volunteer of the Year award in 2017!

Vicki loves connecting with fellow volunteers and greeting guests at The Clayton Center. Outside of volunteering, she enjoys shopping, jigsaw puzzles and organizing her 1,500-piece snowman collection! Vicki is also a talented artist—check out her handmade greeting cards and gift bags, “A Hole Bunch A Cards,” at a local shop in downtown Clayton.

We’re grateful for Vicki’s dedication and the joy she brings to our community. Thank you, Vicki!
