No matter how you celebrate this Christmas Day, we hope you find love, peace, and joyful moments. Merry Christmas to all from our corner of the world to yours.

Christmas in the Barn ---- Author Unknown

It's the night before Christmas and I'm out in the barn,
Blanketing my horses to keep them all warm.
They're eating their dinners, tucked cozy in stalls,
Not aware that it's Christmas, or any day special at all.

They dream of spring pastures from their pine-scented beds.
No visions of sugarplums dance in their heads.
But we people are thinking of merry parties and such,
Quickly doing our tasks so we don't miss too much.

This season is special, but the horses don't know.
They munch on their hay safe out of the snow
I finish my chores and head on inside
To get ready for dinner and my family's yuletide

It's nearly midnight, the carols are sung.
I remember a story told when I was young,
How at midnight on each Christmas Eve
The barnyard creatures can speak to us with ease.

I am called to the barn. I slosh through the snow.
I can't really explain; I know I must go.
I slide open the door, and stand there and smile
Then slowly walk down the dimly lit aisle.

A nicker from Idaho, a soft snort from Montana,
Sweet, gentle Secret gives me a wink
Skeeter rustles his bedding, Doc comes into sight
Even Honey gives a greeting as I walk through the night.

I thought about parties bright lit and warm,
The ones we don't go to cause we have the barn,
And vacations and holidays that we usually don't get,
Cause we have the animals and chores to be met.

Walking all the way to the end of the aisle,
I stop to stroke Idaho, and linger awhile
She snuffles my face, hot breath on my skin
And I look around at the others, my horses, my friends.

I could be at parties with laughter and mirth
But where I am right now is the best place on Earth.

BUCKLE UP AND SAVE THE DATES for these Ranch Horse Schooling Shows at the Park!

April 11 - 13, 2025
August 8 - 10, 2025
September 12 - 14, 2025

We're so excited about this series! Attend all three events, and you'll be eligible for a gorgeous Molly's Silversmith's Buckle. We're giving one away in each division!

Want a full, well-rounded summer? Consider adding the show in June (6-8) and the AQHA show in July (18-20) for points. School at our shows and then attend the rated shows to show off all you've learned!

More will be added to these shows, including the online signups and information on the format. We do know that each weekend will feature a Friday full-day clinic with the judge, and then the show will be on Saturday and Sunday. Classes, divisions, and signups coming soon! Stay tuned but save the dates for now!

Join us at the Park in 2025 and make it a year to remember!

Come down to Dru Bru on the 14th and support the Cle Elum Roundup Association! We look forward to an evening of NFR action followed by some awesome live music with Hunter Stiles. Oh, and the new queen is crowned! We can't wait to celebrate with our friends at the Roundup. See you there!

We couldn't be more excited to have the NW Reined Cowhorse Association back at the Park in 2025. This is always a wonderful show. Horses and cows. What could be better! See you next summer!

Local businesses supporting each other! That's what small communities are all about. Roslyn Theatre and Fused are two great businesses just up the road from the Park, and we've frequented both of them. In fact, Wicked is playing at the Roslyn Theatre right now, and it's an amazing movie to see in a fun and iconic theatre. If you're in town, be sure to check out both businesses for some fun and history!

Our towns know how to do Christmas! Including welcoming the Grinch! Looking for a little holiday cheer this season? Cle Elum and Roslyn offer wonderful holiday adventures with parades, tree lightings, and so much more. The Park might be closed but there’s plenty of adventure to be found around us.

Snow sure coats the Park in a new, beautiful light! We had our first true snowfall of the season last night and although the Park is closed, we got to enjoy it briefly while staff loaded up materials for the Gala tonight. We look forward to seeing everyone in Issaquah later today as we celebrate a successful and amazing 2024!
