Why you should not wait to hire your vendors.
This is one of the biggest days of your lives together & part of what will make that day special is the creatives your hire to make it go amazingly behind the scenes.
From the catering to the makeup artist. You're hiring these people to make your day come alive from what you have always imagined. And unfortunately, these vendors that are a part of your dreams are also a part of many other bride's & groom's wedding dreams. So booking in advance is always key. I suggest anywhere from a year to 6 months before your big day.
As many of you know I am also a wedding photographer, and we are in the middle of engagement season so each vendor you know of is getting tons of messaging from brides & grooms interested in their services.
And with that being said I have had to turn down two clients today alone that had waited too long to book, I had been in communication with both clients for a few weeks but even after repeated warnings that I am not booked for their date until everything is official (contract signed & invoice paid) time managed to get away and their dates got booked by other brides & grooms.
I like every other vendor wish we can just hold these dates but due to the nature of weddings & bookings falling through in the past we have to follow our procedures.
