🌸 Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Meet Erica, Our Warrior Florist
At Blossoms & Bubbly FL, we’re more than a flower shop—we’re a family, and today we want to share Erica’s story. Erica, one of our beloved florists, has been on a courageous journey battling breast cancer. Last November, during a routine mammogram, she discovered a lump categorized as a BIRAD 5. By January, after a biopsy, Erica received the devastating news: her body was dealing with and agressive, invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 2B, grade 3. She bravely chose to undergo a double mastectomy, and doctors discovered the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. 💔
But Erica didn’t back down. She’s had treatments, reconstructive surgery and continues to face more treatments and surgeries with strength and grace. She is now facing cervical biopsies as well.
Through it all, her family has stood by her side—her husband calls her his “warrior” because of her battle scars, and her 10-year-old son has been her biggest cheerleader.
Erica’s message is simple but powerful: “Not everyone looks sick. So many women are fighting battles you can’t see.”
She encourages all women to take charge of their health: “Get your mammograms done! Don’t put it off out of fear. Early detection saves lives.”
