The Clendenin Community Chorus will continue its annual tradition of performing Handel’s “Messiah” on Sunday, November 27, at 3 pm at the Clendenin United Methodist Church (121 Koontz Avenue). Those who have sung in the past and new singers are welcome. We will be singing Part One plus the “Hallelujah Chorus” on this first Sunday of Advent this year.
A rehearsal for those who want to review the music will be held on Sunday, November 20 at 2 p.m. and a final rehearsal will occur on Saturday, November 26 at 7 p.m., both at the Clendenin United Methodist Church. Those familiar with the score but unable to attend either rehearsal are welcome to participate in the performance. Bring your score and a robe (or borrow one of ours) and join us at 2 p.m. If you plan to participate, please e-mail your name and voice part to [email protected] so your name may be included in the program.
Our longtime pianist, Mike Barnhouse, has chosen to retire after many wonderful performances. We thank him for sharing his time and talent for many years. We are pleased to announce that Mary Odin will be our pianist this year and look forward to continuing this longtime community tradition. We hope you can join us this year.
