I am saddened to share that our wonderful bridal designer, Katherine Tash, has lost her home to the Palisades fire. Katherine and her husband Tommy welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Vivienne, this fall into their new home that they tragically lost.

Katherine is one of the most genuine people I have had the honor to work with and has become family to us. Her passion for creating pieces that help make brides feel beautiful and confident is why I love working with her. She has helped so many H + I brides find their dream dress 🤍

LOVE NOTE || My experience at Harper + Ivory was authentic, elevated, and exciting all at the same time. The gowns are exquisite. The space is refined, and the customer service I received here was the most genuine and kind of all of the bridal shops I visited in my dress search. My appointment here was so different from all of the others in all the right ways. On the day of my appointment, I entered Harper + Ivory feeling disappointed that I hadn’t fallen in love with a dress yet to finding myself torn between multiple gorgeous gowns by the end of it. This was the only store where I felt my vision and what I was looking for was understood ultimately leading me to not only fall in love with my Jane Hill dress but visiting again months later for an accessories appointment for my veil and jewelry. Midwestern brides are so lucky to have H+I!

Hi I am Marina the owner of Harper + Ivory 🌸

So much has happened since opening in July of 2021 that I thought I would share a little bit about me!

I was born in San Francisco but moved down to San Diego when I was 12. At 18 I decided to venture across country and attend The College of Wooster where I ended up meeting my husband . After graduating, I went back to San Diego for a year, where I helped write floral and event design proposals for and was their in-house wedding planner. After a year, I decided to move to Akron to be closer to Evan as he pursued professional basketball.

I was 23 and not really sure what was next for me but there was a job opening at my college and I decided to apply. For the next 5 years I worked there and went from an intern to the assistant director of entrepreneurship. I was passionate about bringing local businesses to campus as well as hosting events focused around women entrepreneurs. While working full-time there I was also a part-time bridal stylist on the weekends because I still loved being a part of the wedding industry.

After getting married in 2020 and having a lot of time to reflect on life and what was important, I knew it was time to dream a little bigger. In 2021, Harper + Ivory was born out of the desire to create a more intimate space for brides to feel like themselves and have access to a thoughtful and curated collection of bridal designers. I quit the 3 jobs I was working at the time and opened H+I’s calendar from 9am-8pm every single day, helping bride’s find their dream dress 👰🏽.

In the last 2 years I received my 2 biggest blessings of all - becoming Mila + Everett’s mama. At 31 I am rediscovering who I am as a mom, wife, friend, business owner, and all the other roles I have. I do know that I am learning to live more intentionally and not rush time.

I am so grateful for everyone who has supported this dream the last 3 years and the amazing team at H+I that continuously pour their hearts into our brides.
