So it's April 4th, and we can now announce our upcoming 91st Season. Over the next hour or so, we will announce our season one show at a time. Our first show of the 91st season is:

"The Secret Garden"
Music by Lucy Simon
Lyrics by Marsha Norman
Book by Marsha Norma
Based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett
AUGUST 21 TO SEPTEMBER 7, 2025

After the unexpected death of her parents, young Mary Lennox is sent to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his disabled son Colin. The estate's many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the "Dreamers," spirits from Mary's past who guide her through her new life. This enchanting, Tony Award-winning musical based on a classic book is a compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.

Coming soon to the Cleveland Museum of Art: Takashi Murakami’s Stepping on the Tail of a Rainbow 🌈✨

Discover an incredible new exhibition of works from the Japanese artist known for his unique style that simultaneously honors the rich tradition of Japanese art and deploys the cultural energies of anime, manga, otaku, and kawaii in singular contemporary artworks.

Visitors will explore how—after shared historical events and trauma—art can address crisis, healing, outrage, and escapist fantasy.

This larger than life (literally) exhibition features works more than 30-feet wide, including a recreation of the Yumedono or Dream Hall from the Horyuji Temple complex in Nara, Japan, located in the CMA atrium space.

Evolving from its original location at The Broad in Los Angeles, Takashi Murakami: Stepping on the Tail of a Rainbow comes to Cleveland with an expanded scope in May 2025.
