Wed, Dec 11 & Sat, Dec 14 we're holding auditions for "The Body Play" by Madison Wetzell, directed by Paige Conway.

The following roles are open to AEA and non-AEA actors:

Amy: Amy’s mind, disembodied. Female, 20s-30s
The Body: Amy’s body. Just the body. Female, 20s-30s
Ensemble: Between 1 and 3 actors to play various roles each. Female and nonbinary, varying ages

About the play:

Something is very wrong with Amy’s Body. One protagonist is played by two actors, a detached, neurotic mind, and her chaotic, screaming Body. The Mind submits her Body to the scrutiny of experts—doctors, therapists, yoga teachers—and ultimately explores what it might mean to BE a body. A meditation on chronic illness and the absurdity of being embodied.

🎨 Applications are OPEN for Spring 2025 at ArtWorks! 🤑 This PAID arts apprenticeship is for Northeast Ohio students in grades 10-12. Choose an art co-op, build creative skills, and go through professional development to help you with your post-high school plans.

While working with a Master Teaching Artist in your chosen art form, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to market yourself, turn your passion into a business, and gain essential skills in communication and professional etiquette. At the end of the program, you'll showcase and can sell your work at ArtWorks Live!—and keep 100% of the proceeds! 💸
