Harvest Moon 🌙 Chef Spotlight: Ben Bebenroth, Chef, Farmer, and Founder of Spice Catering Co. Small plate: Roasted ube with beet slaw, herby tahini dressing & crispy chickpeas (v/gf)

After spending some time in Northeast Ohio’s top kitchens, Bebenroth founded Spice of Life Catering Co.with a passionate commitment to source quality, seasonal ingredients from the region’s best partners. As distribution systems between regional farms and restaurants became more efficient, Bebenroth opened the popular Cleveland restaurant, Spice Kitchen + Bar. He later acquired Spice Acres, a 13-acre Countryside Conservancy farm in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, to grow foods for catering clientele and restaurant guests. In 2016, he and his wife, Jackie, established a non-profit organization, Spice Field Kitchen, that offers education and outreach to students and individuals who seek to learn more about farming and cooking.

August Spice~Y Spotlight!! 🌿

From George Lucas's private chef to whipping up love with hand-rolled gnocchi in California, Jason's cooked his way across America and back to Ohio, adding a sprinkle of experience to our team.🍴

Recently, he joined the team for a custom Plated Landscape dinner at Holden Arboretum. Watching the team excel in such a unique setting increased his excitement for his new role. He's eager to blend his skills with our Spice culture! ✨

Three Spicy Facts:
🏈 Browns Fanatic: True to his roots, he sports a Browns tattoo and never misses a game.
🏀 Witness to History: He cheered as the Cavs won their first Finals in 2015 at Oracle Arena.
🥩 Master Butcher: Skilled in breaking down any whole animal, he's a wizard with a cleaver.

We're so happy to have him on the team!

Meet Elaine Danicic, one of our amazing event curators!
She is one of the many brilliant minds collaborating and creating beautiful events that leave lasting impressions. Her favorite event? Crafting nutritious and delicious pre + post-game meals for the Cleveland Cavaliers players, coaches, analysts, and support staff. Let Em' Know! 🏀

These days, she's all about our Verlasso Salmon with Grilled Lemon + Herbs over Ginger Rainbow Carrots and Charred Scallion Orzo. Talk about flavor!

Beyond event planning, she is an adventure seeker from Alaska who once took a helicopter into the Chugach National Forest to walk on a glacier. She also has a romantic side, with a proposal atop the Eiffel Tower from her love! And if you spend time with her, you'll notice she always keeps things light and fun, always bringing good vibes!

Her unique blend of adventure and vibrant energy makes her an invaluable part of our Spice family. ✨
