Vince Robinson, owner of Larchmere Arts, welcomes artists Bonnie Venable and Rodney Carpenter, along with Bonita Johnson (daughter of artist Rev. Albert Wagner) and art collector Deloris Hargrove, for a conversation about the value and importance of collecting art.

Venable and Carpenter will be bringing their art to Larchmere Arts for a show that begins on November 8th. Their work is for sale and will be available on Nov. 8th & 9th, and by appointment afterwards.

Zygote Press was the site of a Get Out The Vote effort in support of Issue 55. The ballot measure calls for the continuation of the present cigarette tax in Cuyahoga County which supports funding for arts and culture. Several cultural institutions, including the Cleveland Museum of Art, smaller non-profit organizations and individual artists are the recipients of the revenues. It is vital that this funding continue. With your assistance, it will. Vote "Yes" on Issue 55.

Senator Sherrod Brown made a pit stop in Cleveland Heights this afternoon to mobilize volunteers for his campaign. He's encouraging folks to speak to at least 5 people, particularly undecided voter, to come the polls. The race against Bernie Moreno is tight. He says the work of those in the room with him will be crucial to get him re-elected.

Actor Michael Ealy dropped by Urban Kutz Barbershop today to visit owner Waverly Willis while stumping for Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown. Much of the dialogue between him and those who attended was about the presidential election, particularly concerns about Black men who support the Republican candidate. Ealy prodded those who bring up arguments about Harris's record to provide proof of the accusations. He sighted the recently announced plans to support Black men as proof it makes a difference. He also said that Democrats have not done of good job of communicating the benefits they have provided African Americans. He concluded by urging everyone to vote early.
