Gallery 202’s Annual Ceramics Invitational features even more artists this month, so stop by the gallery tonight during our November THIRD FRIDAY Art Walk from 5pm-9pm!

The show features clay artists from Brick Studios such as Valerie Grossman, Fox Nicely, Vera Tobin and, Susan Gallagher. Also joining them will be Amie Sell, who is making her debut at Gallery 202, Bette Drake, Brian Sarama, Hope Hickman, and many other artists.

Gallery 202 is open Wednesdays 4-7pm, Saturdays 12 - 4pm, or anytime by making an appointment.

Internationally renowned artist, Derek Hess, is set to debut his first exhibition in six years this November. The exhibition, “Not Going to Stop... Until I’ve Gone Too Far”, opens at Derek Hess Gallery on November 15th, from 5-9pm during Third Friday Art Walk!

Derek Hess, internationally celebrated for his evocative fine art, concert posters, and album covers, is set to debut a new body of work after a six-year hiatus. This marks Hess’s first major show since 2018, offering an exciting evolution in his style while preserving the emotional intensity that connects his work with art and music fans alike.

The new collection, created over 11 months, delves into personal and universal struggles, exploring themes of personal growth. Hess shares, “Much of the work is based on spirituality and my recovery, reflecting the state of mind I was in when creating each piece.”

To offer exclusive access, Hess is hosting a private pre-opening on Thursday, November 14 for those who pre-order the show book—a limited edition, signed hardcover publication featuring over 40 pieces and a hand-drawn angel. Attendees receive early access to view and purchase artwork, with refreshments and a chance to meet Bear. For $35, the book offers fans, both in and out of town, a unique connection to Hess’s journey.

UNDERSTORY will have a new exhibition, “Haven”, featuring sculptures from Eric Tuck-Macalla and evocative paintings by David Verba. Antonym Collective will be celebrating their One Year Anniversary with a party, which includes snacks and giveaways! Our October THIRD FRIDAY Art Walk is this week!

Join us this Friday for our October THIRD FRIDAY Art Walk from 5-9pm as the creative businesses of 78th Street Studios as they open their doors for you to explore our arts complex.

Many of our resident artist studios and galleries will be open for you to explore, presenting dynamic new exhibits and artwork along with over 50 Guest Artisans courtesy of Northcoast Promotions all while enjoying live music throughout the building.

We can’t wait to see all the new and familiar faces once again - Including well-behaved children and pets!
