I really enjoy presenting retrogames as people remember them -- full-size, beautiful tube monitors, and games that make you think of specific times, places, and people from your past.

As I told my ex-Season's Beatings co-director today, I T.O. very different "tournaments" these days, and there's no better feeling than seeing parents bond with retrogames with their kids!

Thank you for having us out again for Family Videogames Day! I tried a new combo of game systems, and talking to parents it seemed like everyone was really happy!

Emulators are great but there's nothing like the real hardware in your hands to connect you back to your childhood！

Honestly had a flashback to high school when I turned this on!

Needed a 486 or Pentium era laptop and dug out this beauty I forgot I had. Games look gorgeous on my workhorse CRT!

I'm sure you have your memories too lol.

Like with all retrogames, I hate emulators / virtual machines. Curse of Monkey Island just doesn't look right in ScummVM. THIS is the real stuff!

We discovered a new Pac-Man Ghost. They're the "hot" one it seems!

We have a brand-new, super-rare, Pac-Man + Galaga cabinet where 2 people play cooperatively at the same time.

Not only did they invent "Kinky" for this version, but they got all the names mixed up too!

Needed so many Wii Sports copies for our nice Wii Bowling tournament at Q Lab that I had to bust out my brand-new Japanese Wii out of the package!

Q needed something simple for people to enjoy and compete in for employee appreciation, and we came up with this little event together.

It was a great template for me to help companies on a budget! Thank you for again having us out and earning all these Best Places To Work Awards!

The Pac-Man ghost you never knew existed: "Kinky" !

Bringing a few arcade cabs to a party tomorrow, and it's always cool to surprise people with versions of Pac-Man and Galaga that 2 people can play co-op simultaneously ;)

Pac-Man and Galaga Arrangement were rare arcades releases I was lucky to encounter as a kid, and I finally tracked down real boards on it in the last few years!

People really love these games still, haha.

My Grandpa was an ace in WWII, and we were really close. He bought me my first Commodore and Nintendo. He told me stories he didn't even tell my mom about friends he lost, because I think after holding on to those memories for 50 years, it must have helped to just tell someone.
I never really thought about how lucky we were that he even made it home.
To think about any life cut short - - that that could have been -- is heartbreaking.
Whatever you're thinking about today, I hope you enjoy your time with friends/loved ones.

So special taking my oldest to the Sonic Symphony a few weeks ago!

Kind of surreal that I've loved Sonic since he came out in 1991, and my kids love him too.

When I started Games Done Legit and started doing school events, I was like how do kids even know who Sonic is when he hasn't had a great game in 15 years?? But they do!

Just neat!

I think only as an adult can you really appreciate what your parent(s) did for you, esp when you have kids yourself.
My mom decided, as a single parent, to keep me and work her ass off to make sure I had a great life.
But even better, the greatest gift she always gave me was to encourage me, and to let me do what I loved and be myself.
I certainly don't think every parent was OK with their 11-year-old playing the most violent, realistic game ever!
My company, the eSports event we did for 7 years before it, I'd have none of this amazing, free life if not for her trust in me, her sacrifices, and her love.
I know not everyone is as lucky as me, but I hope you are! I hope you and your family had a great !

I feel like my daughter was accidently channeling the Pokémon episode that gave kids seizures with this!
Did you know that Pokémon is the highest-grossing media property OF ALL TIME? Like way more than Star Wars, Harry Potter, even Mickey Mouse who's been around since the '20s.
I'm almost 42 and have never even tried a Pokémon game, ever, until last year. But it's so cool to hear kids to younger millenials talk about the friendships they made and all the cool things that have come from playing Pokémon. The power of videogames never ceases to amaze me!

I was raised in a good household, where I learned that home is a place where you keep both the OG Star Wars Trilogy and a big box Disney on VHS on a high shelf in the living room!
