🌬️It’s official! Season change is here and ready to stay a while. 🥶 Time to winter prep you indoor plants. What they once required in the dead of summer is much different in these colder, dryer, darker months. Here are a few key tips to keep your green beauties thriving this winter.

🌱 Repot to prep soil. Adding nutrients to help nurish root systems.
🌱 Place in a brighter window or room, as the sun rise and fall has shifted directions.
🌱Add a grow light if your home does not allow much natural light in.
🌱Mist more often, add watered pebble trays, or a humidifier to keep humidity levels up. Most tropical plants will rely on it.
🌱 Delay watering schedules to accommodate dormancy. Allow the soil to dry entirely between feedings.
🌱 Prune any wilted or discolored leaves. Pests thrive on decaying leaves and we do not wish to welcome any of those into our homes. Plus, the plant will send all of its energy into the existing leaves to keep healthy and alive, rather than trying to heal already dying leaves.
🌱Keep away from air vents or drafty doorways. The cold dry air will dehydrate the leaves and soil.
🌱 Clean your plant leaves often, and not just the tops. Bottoms too. Dust can block the pores that allow the plant to breathe. Did you know plants exhale oxygen, primarily on the bottom side of the leaf? 🤔
🌱Talk to them and sing to them. The vibrations of our voices sends energy into the air. Believe it or not, they can hear you😉
