I definitely implore EVERYONE to pursue and follow their dreams. If anything, that's what got me here. Find your passions and go after them.

That said, if you are in you are approaching your 40's and are still rapper and/or DJing hood bars.. It may be time to figure out the next steps in your life that entail a 401k/retiring.

I told myself if by 30 I hadn't been picked up and went on a world tour, I was giving up DJing.. here and there I still do it for fun. I've seen many of my peers go on and thrive. Such as Dj Lo Key of Lo Key Entertainment CRUSHING the corporate scene... or my brother Dj Chicago who now does his own boat rides and 3 day weekend events. That's scaling. That's real money.

If you can find a way to make it profitable and scalable, do it.

If you are known for DJing college parties/hood spots into your 40's, time to grow up lol.
