Performing at GRAMMY Museum Mississippi: Cleveland's own, Tricia Walker, this Tuesday, July 16th at Women in the Round! ✨

Tricia is a singer and songwriter whose songs are steeped in the passion, pain and grace of the American South. She was a founding member of “Women in the Round,” one of the most celebrated foursomes at Nashville’s prestigious Bluebird Cafe. Born and raised in Mississippi, Walker has become one of the clearest voices of her own time and place. Her music has been recorded by Faith Hill, Patty Loveless and Alison Krauss, whose performance of Walker’s “Looking in the Eyes of Love” earned a GRAMMY.

Coming to GRAMMY Museum Mississippi: Karen Staley on July 16th at Women in the Round! ✨

Karen is a 30-year veteran of the Nashville music industry whose hits have collectively sold more than 20 million albums, singles and downloads. Her songs have not only been recorded by modern stars like Faith Hill, Reba McEntire, Trick Pony, Terri Clark, and Tracy Byrd, but also by legends such as George Jones, Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Conway Twitty, and Brenda Lee. As a guitar player and background singer, Staley has toured with Faith Hill, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless, Terri Clark, and Russ Taff. BASIC FUNCTION
The Sales and Visitor Experience Manager will oversee daily sales and visitor experience efforts of GRAMMY Museum Mississippi (GMM) including ticket operations, group sales, and retail.
This position will be supervised by the Director of Finance and
Museum Operations to achieve revenue goals and attract visitors for admission, retail sales, and group sales. The Sales and Visitor Experience Manager is responsible for creating and implementing a sales plan to attract group tours and visitors to the Museum.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Director of Finance and Museum Operations

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for achieving revenue goals including box office receipts, group tours and retail sales
• Responsible for reports, deposits, money handling, etc. for all sales efforts
• Oversee all aspects of box office and retail sales operations, including:
o Handling receipts and monies for all transactions
o Manage retail to include customer service, product placement, product selection, merchandising, inventory levels, and staffing.
o Set standards and enforce customer service expectations in front-of-house of the museum.
o 3-5 manual inventory counts per year
• Work with the Director of Finance and Museum Operations to develop Standard
Operating Procedures, Security Protocols related to money handling, and Customer Service Policy.
• Help fulfill member benefits at all levels and maintain high standards for guest and customer services.
• Work with the Director of Finance and Museum Operations to develop a comprehensive reporting and analysis system that provides accurate and timely reporting and evaluation of all Retail, Group Sales, and Box Office activities. This will include weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting and sales evaluations.
• Create and implement group sales strategy to generate exposure and drive traffic to GMM

Sales and Visitor Experience Manager
• Work closely with Education Manager, Special Events Manager, Director of Programming on scheduling and confirmation of education tours and special events.
• Responsible for scheduling and hiring of retail staff
• Work closely with the Director of Finance and Museum Operations and staff to effectively meet visitors and programming needs while maintaining safety and
security measures. Oversee the regular inspection of all floors and exhibits.
• Respond to all safety and security needs and calls for services
Group Sales
• Create and implement a group sales strategy to generate exposure and drive traffic to the GMM
• Work closely with the Curatorial, Education, and Programming Departments to promote new content to the GMM for group tours, particularly tour operators
• Build and maintain new relationships with tour operators by communicating
regularly with Museum exhibitions and updates
• Ensure groups are registered and placed on the calendar
• Work with Education & Outreach Manager to schedule volunteers for education groups
• Train and schedule volunteers for group tours
• Conduct training for volunteers annually

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Museum Studies or related subject is preferred
• 1 to 3 years minimum retail & box office management sales and marketing preferably in a not-for-profit cultural center, museum, or performance arts venue
• Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills
• Must have the ability to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and negotiate creative solutions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
