Running a business in the capacity that we do it’s hard not to want to be hands on with everything… when we planned our 40th/Retirement party and selected we had no problem trusting them to do what they do best for us! But we appreciated them allowing us to be hands on as Tastefully Done by Anita Events to do our own linens, centerpieces dessert setup with the assistance of and … everything came together just as we envisioned in our heads at least my head… 🤗 Robert always supports my vision! With this simplicity for a cocktail party in ivory, turquoise and cobalt blue and lots of candlelight! 😉

Hello Family & Friends

In exactly 40 days on March 10th we will officially embark on 2 milestones in this journey called life … Robert’s retirement and our 40th wedding anniversary. We would love to be able to celebrate with everyone we know and love but unfortunately that’s not possible … however we can share Kudoboard for you to impart your words of encouragement with us.

We delivered a DIY order yesterday… linens, chair covers, centerpieces and napkins to for her “Ladies Night” they did an AWESOME job setting everything up since we had our circuit assembly today! We appreciate your support for your event today!! 💋

The last few days at “The Cafe” Wednesday we did burgers with homemade potato salad and loaded baked beans, Friday morning we did bacon or sausage egg and cheese croissants with grits and today for dinner we did another pork chops, rice / gravy glazed carrots and salad with corn bread! Nothing like fresh flowers to set everything off!!

Today started out really rough with my mom having to go to the ER and then being admitted amidst having to cater a congregation gathering. My husband and my sisters are amazing they were there with me every step of the way throughout a very emotional day not being g able to be with my mom! The friends at the gathering we amazing! It was busy so I only got pictures of the appetizers … The Menu Western Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Scalloped Potatoes, Sautéed Green Beans, Tossed Salad, Pasta Salad, Rolls, Lemonade & Iced Tea. The location is beautiful and very picturesque

We’ve been “Very Busy” at the cafe since we changed some things. Wednesday is lunch , Friday is breakfast and Sunday is dinner. The adjustment has been good foe the tenants. We’ve added some new items to our specials. This Wednesday we did steak sandwiches with onions mushrooms and cheese… OMG! It was a HIT! Who would have thought !!🤔 I think these surpassed the chicken salad 🫣 we also did a hot ham and cheese panini with a homemade sweet spicy honey mustard and a side of broccoli salad! What a week! 😳HUGE SHOUTOUT to Robert & Sherri alway there to help me! Plus all the friends that have stopped for lunch or dinner! We appreciate it!

“The Cafe” it was a busy week. Wednesday … bratwurst with peppers / onions Friday … French toast bake, bacon , sausage Sunday… chicken Marsala , lemon pepper asparagus, citrus salad. Variety of desserts all week and our fruit and salads!

We love to take care of our repeat customers… we did linens, chair covers and a few centerpieces Saturday for James & Angela Ward for their 25th… we provided head table design and linens for their 20th 5 years ago! Thanks for choosing our services again.

Cafe back open this week after being closed for vacation. The tenants were lined up down the hallway for chicken salad croissants and soup on Wednesday and breakfast croissants today!

Anniversary Dinner for Tanya & Cal Long… 25 years together. We did appetizers and dinner for them! They’re an awesome couple. Their family did decor, desserts they did a great job! Everything was so pretty! 🥰

We’ve been pretty busy at “The Cafe” fried fish, chili dogs, lasagna, bratwurst w/peppers and onions, hamburgers, a variety of snacks, desserts and breakfast items. It’s been fun getting to know our neighbors every week.

We made a “Traveling Goody Box” at the the request of a dear dear friend for family members that traveled in for a funeral! It was sudden and very sad and we were happy to accommodate! 😢🤗

Repast Luncheon today… it was nice to meet in person … unfortunately it had to be under these circumstances … she has very nice family and friends … baked chicken, ham, garlic mash, sautéed green beans salad roll, fruit punch, lemonade and infused water … desserts provide family and friends !

Well, the cafe in our building has been open for a little over a month now and it’s going really well! The tenants have been enjoying it and supporting it on the days we’re open. We try to do a special either breakfast or lunch… so far, we’ve done chili dogs with homemade chili (huge hit) chicken & waffles, homemade chicken salad on croissant (huge hit) spaghetti and meatballs, hamburgers with grilled onions, breakfast quiche, western breakfast scramble, homemade soups, we have salads and fruit every day, donuts from which they absolutely love!! We always have coffee, tea and hot chocolate plus juices and soft drinks! We appreciate and .barnes.94043 for their help and support … it’s good to have family in the building 😉 Tomorrow we’re doing sloppy joes for lunch … we’ll see how that goes!

We’ve had a good reputation working at this Slovenian Halls over the years. Last night was a first for us to assist these 4 young men to put together a “ Black Tie Affair” it was nice to see them want to do this for their friends and family! It was a nice evening! Cliff Hohrn love you guys 🤗 A special thanks to the staff… Sandy is a sweetheart!! I hear the name of the hall is changing to the Venue on North Vine!! 🤔
