For us adults….some of my favorite wineries.
Habersham Winery, one of Georgia’s oldest Winery (I believe coming up on 40 years). They offer both dry and sweet wines. Their wines are wonderfully prices and are everyday fun easy drinking wines that are sure to please any palate.
Also, one if the best wine gift shops I have visited (have visited 92 plus wineries).
Only 1.1 miles away you will find true gem hidden gem!
Located just outside Helen (Hardman Farm area) the beautiful Creekstone Winery sites nested above creating beautiful views!

Creekstone Winery offers the Creekstone Winery Wines Dry, off dry and sweet wines available. Let’s not forget the Bubblies, Slushies, Sangria, Georgia Beers in Tap and in cans.

The Whistler Tree
The oldest and largest CORK OAK in the world is located in Portugal's Alentejo region. It was planted in 1783, the same year that the United States and Great Britain signed the Treaty of Paris, ending the Revolutionary War. The tree now stands more than 14 meters (45 feet) tall, and the diameter of its trunk is over 4 meters (13 feet).
The tree has been harvested more than twenty times in its lifetime. The greatest was in 1991 when more than 1200 kg (2650 lbs.) of cork each harvest, so this single harvest was more than most trees produce in a lifetime. It was enough cork for well over 100, 000 Individual cork stoppers.
The tree's name comes from the many songbirds that live in its enormous canopy. Cork oaks are evergreen, and provide shelter for many animals native to the Iberian Peninsula. One such animal is the Iberian Lynx, which is critically endangered with an estimated 150 adults left in the wild. Other endangered animals that reside in cork forests include the Iberian Imperial Eagle and the Black Stork.
