Do y'all remember last year when I posted about our venue being nominated in certain categories in the Best of SWMO? We won 3rd Best Wedding Venue!! 🎉🙏🏻 Well .... Someone has nominated The Clever Barn again!! Voting starts on Jan 6th and we would really appreciate it if you would vote for us💝 I don't know what category/categories yet but wow are we thrilled to be nominated again 😁

**I am sorry for posting this so late**

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us here at our cozy little venue The Clever Barn last Saturday 🥰 We had An Ole Time Country Christmas at The Clever Barn from 1-4 and then Christmas Karaoke/Bonfire Party for All Ages at TCB that started at 7:30 and I think we finally locked the doors around 2am. Oh what a great day!! Shari Wilder Roman Guerrero my neice Ruby Wilder and I performed upstairs (vocals, guitars, and harp) plus we also had 2 guests from Rise Academy of Fine Arts: Natalie McCormack and Aubrey West. Downstairs we had sweet treats provided by Kay's Kreations , interactive games for all ages with Ivie Walden and Daniel Harmon Story Time with Granny Libby Davis , Ugly Sweater Contest winners were Cathy DeClue and Cheryl Chambers , hot cocoa and hot tea were served by Mikayla and Greg Walden , the little ones decorated their very own Christmas cookies, and more 🤗❤️🎄 Our hearts are full and our bodies are tired 😅 but WOW- what a wonderful day!

What's next out here? Well, if we have enough interest, we would love to have a Christmas movie night or something-but we know that there's a lot going on with everyone. We won't be having our annual NYE Party for Families this year but I think next up will be for Valentine's Day: A Valentine's Sweet Heart Dance with dinner and a Galentine's Gathering. Rest assured, we will be having ALL kinds of things going on out here (new hours during the day, themed parties, small business gatherings, and more) at our sweet little getaway and we are excited! 2025 is going to be AMAZING 🎉

Libby, would you be willing to post some pics please? Oh!! I forgot to add something very cool.... Libby now has a printer out here and when she takes your pics-you walk away with a pic to take home💝 So, when you all have your pics taken by Libby, please be sure to post your happy memories on your Facebook and tag us🤗 We love seeing smiling faces on everyone here 😁

I'm here at The Clever Barn tonight and I just now finished decorating the 10-ft Christmas tree. Tomorrow night, we are having The Little Blue Jay Christmas program 💝 Then, this Saturday, December 14th from 1:00-4:00 is An Ole Time Country Christmas at The Clever Barn 💝 I still have a lot more work to do but Libby Davis wanted me to post some things on here and on our business page so I am and I really hope you all like it🤗❣️🎄🎶☃️ Thanks to my wonderful friend Libby, I love Christmas again!!

All ages are welcome to join us 🎄 Along with having a Christmas Carolers Sing-along, we would love to have some kiddos jump in and sing or play their band instrument ~ It's just more fun when everyone gets involved 🤗 We are charging $5 per person and we'll have sweets by Kay's Kreations, a Hot Cocoa Bar, games, a Harpist, and more surprises!

Guess what the BEST part of turning our 1880s barn into a venue is..... The people that we meet and form relationships with. Wow, we are so blessed ❣️ Some of our absolute best friends are all because of the barn somehow whether they had an event here, attended an event here, they are vendors, or we've never met and they have never been here but have been following us along on this entire journey of ours or.... Thank you, God! You ALL mean the absolute world to us and we thank you so much for believing in us all these years! "We're getting there" - always working hard to keep looking better out here and being unique, completely different 🙂

It's crazy remembering that we had $7,000 to spend on this nasty old barn back in 2013 and we hoped and prayed and cried and worked like our butts were on fire-literally-our bodies are in awful shape after working as hard as we did/do- and we almost gave up a few times -- but we didn't! And we are SO glad we keep pushing on and don't give up on this dream of ours. 💝🙏🏻💝

How else is our venue different? Our barn was built in the 1880s- not a brand new building made to look old/rustic... We do our own work out here-with some amazing helpers💗 Your guests of all ages will love our fun things ready for them...We completely focus on customer service - and most of our customers become our friends ❤️

Someone needs to sit right here tomorrow night and see this in person 😊 This is at the 1st table in our canopy sitting area facing the barn- seeing the witch in the circle, our 1880s barn, the bats on our silo, a hanging ghost, and eerie branches blowing in the wind. There's only ONE place that charges $5 per person and that includes all the fun- we don't charge for bowling or to sing karaoke or shoot pool or for any of our cool amenities out here. We just love to share our barn❣️ Plus we'll have food and drinks in our food truck😊 So please help us pack this place this week 🎉

Would you all take just a second and share this please? This drone video was taken last year and we've done a lot of things ever since then (food truck: Happy Trails, 1911 windmill, staircase going down from the covered deck to the food truck area, etc) here at The Clever Barn 😊 Can you believe that when we got here 20 years ago it was just the barn and the little outbuilding by Jasmine Road? Then, in 2013, after our little Halloween party for our friends and family in our nasty old barn, I looked to my husband and I said maybe we should turn this old barn into a venue of some kind.... Thank you so much for your love and your support these last 10 years!!
