After planning over 100 weddings, here are my ultimate wedding day tips for the groom:

Empty your pockets before pictures! Yes, even your phone! They will show up in pictures and "editing them out" is not that easy for your photographer.

Plan a sweet surprise for your bride! Flowers to her room, a sweet love letter, or getting a video of her morning of your wedding will make her day all that lovelier and memorable. Happy tears are guaranteed.

Leave your phone in the suite for the ceremony! You won't need to take a phone call I promise! Be present and limit distractions. If you want your phone for the reception, I will take care of that for you!

Grab a backup white shirt *just in case* of a beverage incident or you get too sweaty on the dance floor. You never know and it is good to be prepared.

But don't worry! I will make sure to remind you of these little things and more on your wedding day. Save these tips for a flawless wedding day and follow for more wedding tips and tricks!

I think we can all agree we are getting a little bit tired of the traditional bouquet toss! Instead of cutting it out of the lineup completely - here are some unique ways you can have fun with it:

Bouquet Dedication - This one will not leave a dry eye in the house. Dads get a lot of the honors like speeches and walking the bride down the aisle, here is a sweet sentimental way to honor your mom or another powerful figure in your life. Take a second to say a few words about them and dedicate your bouquet to them.

Random Ribbon Cutting - I saw this one on Instagram and instantly fell in love! Count how many girls will be participating in the "bouquet toss" and tie that number of ribbons to a ring that will go around the bouquet! The girls will walk around the bride in a circle with their ribbons as the bride cuts random ribbons! The bouquet goes to the girl holding the last ribbon! I mean how cute is that?!

T-Shirt Toss - If you are a party couple, this one is for you! Grab your partner and design a custom t-shirt that encapsulates your wedding day! At the height of the party, toss them into the crowd! BONUS: this also doubles as a party favor!

Lock Up the Bouquet - Inside a locked box (bonus if it's transparent) houses the bouquet! Each person gets to try their key and see if it unlocks the box! The one with the special key gets the bouquet.

Flowers for Everyone - This one can be a fun surprise! When you go to toss the bouquet, start handing out roses to your girls instead so everyone gets pleasantly surprised with a flower of their own.

Longest Marriage - Gift a bouquet to the couple who has been married the longest!

Don't be afraid to get creative and personal with your choice of 'toss'! Which one is your favorite?

We have been obsessed with this venue for a while! So, it is only fitting that they are our next wedding venue highlight.

There are so many reasons to love :

1. It feels like you stepped right into a storybook (not even exaggerating a little bit - just look at that cottage!)
2. Not only does the Taconic Range and the Berkshire Mountains make for an unmatched view but you also experience total peace as they are located on 22 acres.
3. Versatility! If you want to customize your day and let your creativity take over - I will probably be showing you this venue!
