Arturo Morales Romero is a featured artist at Tlatecayotl Cuacualtzin (Art is Beautiful), an exhibit at the Lorenzo Cultural Center featuring the captivating world of Mexico’s artistic heritage!

Born in Tepetixtia – a town in the state of Guerrero, Mexico – Arturo is a first generation of migrant workers in the United States. His mother brought him and his three sisters to Visalia, California, in 1989, where they worked in fields while attending elementary, middle, and high school. After graduating high school in 1997, he studied art at the College of the Sequoias for two years, then moved to North Carolina in 2000. In 2009, Arturo enrolled at Forsyth Technical Community College, where he studied Automotive Custom Fabrication, Custom Paint, and Auto Body Repair. However, his artistic passions go far before his educational experience, as he began painting as early as six years old. Creating colorfully vibrant works expressing extensive emotion and skill, Arturo finds that the inspiration for his artwork come from family. He specifically mentions his wife, Erica, and his children: Cuauhtemoc Eloy, Emiliano, Pilar, Julio Armando, and Xitlali Alicia.
