This is what I mean, when I asked about painted canvas backgrounds. It’s just easier to paint after it has a layer of paint on it.

Very important question…please respond.
How would you feel if the background color of the painting was already painted? You can paint over it, but it would already have a base coat, so instead of being a white canvas it would be light blue or purple or pink.

Well that’s a wrap! Summer art camp this week is complete! I don’t like to have my phone continuously with me or to post pictures of kids, that’s why I was silent on social media this week.
But I will say, all the children completed some terrific projects which included,
Acrylic paintings, seashell windchimes, layered paper shadow boxes, false stained glass, jewelry making, leather project and wood painting projects! We had a very full and busy week!

It’s been a very long day, let me explain……
830 I picked up the trailer to move the lift, then drove out to my clients house to retrieve said lift. As I’m loading it it begins to rain! Yesterday I checked the forecasts, no rain. Lies, all lies!
I’m sure if my client looked at her camera she is probably laughing at me or wonder who the heck she hired. I’m sure it was a comedy freak show in her back yard. Crazy lady praying and not praying looking up at the clouds with hands in the air!🤣🤣🤣
You see the lift cannot be driven in the grass, this is why i had plywood down to drive on. Well, plywood when wet!! Is slick!!! Yep that’s right, as I crossed the threshold of the gate, the wet plywood made the lift slide! I was about two inches from the fence. I stopped and went to my truck and cried. Called my husband and he listened to me cry and talk my way through it. Then I made another call for help, I didn’t want to make any mistakes. Thankfully, Eric, Joe, Faith and Jenn showed up to help me. By the time they arrived I had come up with a plan and it worked.
So then I drive to Renew 122 to touch up the black paint, and guess what it’s still raining. (Remember only rented the trailer for 8 hours) stopped to have lunch with Faith and Eric. They had my little Alistair because they were babysitting for me. The rain stops and I go to Renew and finish painting. All went well until I finished and had another hairbrained idea…..
I say to myself, hey you have waited 3 years to paint the corner of your house, use the lift! Hahaha! The gate to the back yard is 33 inches wide, the lift is 32 inches wide. So ya…I say to myself of course you can do this! Alistair is sleeping and Husband is home, so what’s stopping ya! Let’s just say it was a tight squeeze! Corner of house is painted except 2 feet that I could not reach. 😡frustrating! But whatever….next….. now to get out of the tight squeeze. Why is it always easier to get into places than it is to get back out!!! What a challenge!
Next job, Legends, Dropped if lift, took trailer back by 5pm, yep a little late.
Ran to Aldi, met Abby there to get something for dinner. Got home by 615 and made homemade pizza. Thankfully Abby stayed and did most of the cooking and then she cleaned up the kitchen! (Yes I helped)
Tomorrow I’m taking the day off. By that I mean I’ll just work a little.
