We have been fortunate to have some amazing emcees and DJs visit Cascadia Meadows. A huge thank you to our wonderful community who came out in droves to support our model train show fundraiser for Good Cheer Food Bank! Over the first two weekends in December, we had over 1000 visitors, raised over $2700 in cash, and gathered 700 pounds of food to donate. Cascadia Meadows is honored to be a part of such a loving and generous community.

We love live music! Whidbey Island is full of countless gifted and talented musicians. We are fortunate to call many of them our friends. One of our favorites is the Cranberry Bog Bluegrass Band. They joke with us that sometimes bluegrass can be depressing, but they've worked hard to learn enough fun songs to keep a party going for hours. Not many people know this, but the wooden box seen in this photo was once used for the dishes of the pioneering Grubb family who settled the land here and helped build the Little Brown Church. It was recovered from a small 10x10 cabin thought to have been built around 1910 by George Grubb. Paul and Emily Grubb cherish this heritage and invite you to become a part of it. Happy National Dessert Day! Fun fact about one of Cascadia Meadows' owners, Emily: she adores baking. She lovingly created this cake for the annual fundraiser held at Cascadia Meadows this summer for a beloved local non-profit: Ballydidean Farm Sanctuary . This three-layered peanut butter-dipped cookies and cream cake from the Half Baked Harvest cookbook was made with as much love and care as she puts into making your big day the wedding of your dreams.
