Mark your calendars!!

Heartland Community Theatre is pleased to announce the latest edition of our upcoming Sunday Movie Matinee at 2:00 p.m., on August 25th, 2024. FREE movie matinees are held on the 4th Sunday of each month, barring cancellation.

This month’s feature presentation is “Picnic” (1955), starring William Holden, Kim Novak, Betty Field, Susan Strasburg, Cliff Robertson and co-starring Rosalind Russell. In a small community in Kansas, on the morning of the town’s Labor Day picnic, a drifter (William Holden) arrives to visit an old friend from college, who comes from a wealthy, established family. Emotions are ignited among the complacent townspeople, during the drifter’s visit.

On-scene filming locations include sequences in Halstead, Hutchinson, Nickerson, Salina and Sterling, Kansas.

Again, admission is always FREE, along with popcorn and beverages. We wish to say “THANK YOU” and extend our appreciation to everyone who has, and continues to support Heartland Community Theatre.

Hello everyone! We are happy to announce this month's Sunday Movie Matinee! This edition will be held on Sunday, July 28th at 2pm at the theater. That's 108 N Washington, folks!

This month’s feature presentation is “A Summer Place” (1959), starring Richard Egan, Dorothy McGuire, Arthur Kennedy, Sandra Dee and Troy Donahue. While visiting Pine Island, a summer resort off the coast of Maine, a romance rekindles between a businessman and a former flame, while their teenage children begin a romance of their own, both with drastic consequences.

Admission is always FREE, along with popcorn and beverages. Thats right! FREE! We wish to say “THANK YOU” and extend our appreciation to everyone who has, and continues to support Heartland Community Theatre.

Hey theater friends!

We regret to inform you that there will be no Sunday Movie Matinee in May. 😱

Due to this month's movie matinee set to occur on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, that's May 26th y'all, we are canceling! Look for the Sunday Movie Matinee next month in June, though, and plan to be there!

Greetings, our theater people, and those musically inclined!

A message from the director, the talented Rob Hills, for the upcoming production of Sentimental Journey:

REMINDER: We will be gathering this evening (Monday, April 15th) @ 5:30pm @ Heartland Community Theatre for "Sentimental Journey".

Rehearsal schedules will be provided to everyone, as well as discussion regarding musical auditions, which have been delayed until the week of May 5th, as to not conflict with the community choir members and the possibility of adding additional singing talent, after that event has concluded.

Hope you're able to make it. If you have a schedule conflict on that date / time, please let me know.

Congratulations to those of you who landed a role in our next production, "Sentimental Journey"! 👏👏 You'll do great 😃

We look forward to seeing you this Thursday evening, April 4th at 530pm for the first read through. Put in on your calendar, write some post-its and stick em everywhere, don't miss this! Be excited and take a breath, you've made it! We can't wait to see you on Thursday at 530p. 🎬📖

Didn't make the cut this time around? Don't worry, stay in touch, keep trying out and get involved! Even the most successful performers don't make every production. There's so much talent and variety around! Your show is coming, the perfect part for you is out there, you just have to keep at it!
Do you have another talent for technology, sound boards, set design, prop handling, backstage managing? Let us know! These roles are just as important!

A naive, young chorus girl becomes the new dance partner of a nightclub performer, whose intention is to prove to his former partner that he can make anyone a star. Starring Judy Garland, Fred Astaire, Peter Lawford and Ann Miller.
