Mark your calendars!!

Heartland Community Theatre is pleased to announce the latest edition of our upcoming Sunday Movie Matinee at 2:00 p.m., on August 25th, 2024. FREE movie matinees are held on the 4th Sunday of each month, barring cancellation.

This month’s feature presentation is “Picnic” (1955), starring William Holden, Kim Novak, Betty Field, Susan Strasburg, Cliff Robertson and co-starring Rosalind Russell. In a small community in Kansas, on the morning of the town’s Labor Day picnic, a drifter (William Holden) arrives to visit an old friend from college, who comes from a wealthy, established family. Emotions are ignited among the complacent townspeople, during the drifter’s visit.

On-scene filming locations include sequences in Halstead, Hutchinson, Nickerson, Salina and Sterling, Kansas.

Again, admission is always FREE, along with popcorn and beverages. We wish to say “THANK YOU” and extend our appreciation to everyone who has, and continues to support Heartland Community Theatre.

Hello everyone! We are happy to announce this month's Sunday Movie Matinee! This edition will be held on Sunday, July 28th at 2pm at the theater. That's 108 N Washington, folks!

This month’s feature presentation is “A Summer Place” (1959), starring Richard Egan, Dorothy McGuire, Arthur Kennedy, Sandra Dee and Troy Donahue. While visiting Pine Island, a summer resort off the coast of Maine, a romance rekindles between a businessman and a former flame, while their teenage children begin a romance of their own, both with drastic consequences.

Admission is always FREE, along with popcorn and beverages. Thats right! FREE! We wish to say “THANK YOU” and extend our appreciation to everyone who has, and continues to support Heartland Community Theatre.
