Kirkland Art Center

The Kirkland Art Center was established as a community arts organization 60 years ago in the second floor of the town library as a meeting place.

From the beginning there were classes, exhibitions, films, concerts and lectures. The KAC is now an active, regional, multi-arts center, located in an old church, barn and connecting addition, on the village green in Clinton. The nature of the activities and mission has stayed steadfast, and with the support of the community, members, volunteers, funding sources and guidance from the NYSCA, our pr

ogramming has broadened. Demonstrating high-quality, diverse programming, the KAC has become a a cultural hub in central New York and through cooperation with other organizations has developed a network of services and opportunities for artists and art lovers of all ages and disciplines.

"Ink On Paper" Opening Exhibition is this Saturday in our gallery from 1- 4 pm. Join the KAC and featured artists Olga Nenazhivina and Iain Machell for light refreshments and snacks during the opening! “Although the artists’ works could not be more visually different from each other – lyrical, delicate, figurative vs. tough, dimensional, abstract – each artist shares an affinity for materials, textures, processes and above all, close observation of their world."

An amazing night honoring an amazing woman! Saturday night's KAC Coffeehouse concert featuring Beppe Gambetta honoring Ginger Parker's legacy was a packed house full of great music and great community! Each of our Acts performed amazingly and we consider them all winners. 42nd Annual Clinton Pottery Sale

Printmaking with @timrandart last week was so much fun! Tim worked with every student and guided everyone through the process of designing, sketching, carving and printing an edition to take home. His Drypoint Etching class is still available to sign up! Drypoint Etching is a technique that combines drawing and printmaking. Tim will work with students and provide helpful tips, different tools to help shape the best plate possible.
