February 14. Love it or dread it. Either way, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. Rather than paying for an over-priced, fancy set menu (most likely prepared for you from a freezer or a box) in a restaurant filled with roses, proposals, and overly expensive wine, why not choose to stay home and impress your love with your own cooking skills? Or, inject a little spice into your relationship and cook together.
The essential part in preparing for the evening is to make sure you have enough wine at the ready and to not overthink your menu.
And don’t forget to always, always dance in your kitchen.

Big ol’ batch of cowboy candy! Sooooo good! Also made one of my favorites - grilled portobellos with sundried tomatoes, prosciutto, fontina, and fried sage for dinner.
