Let’s talk for one second about styling.
Textures / tones = making or breaking the whole thing honestly.
I know that outfits are like the LEAST favorite part of planning fall family photos, but I’m being more intentional with helping. You’ll notice me using a lot of earthy tones lately, normally one pattern and complimenting earthy colors together. Texture gives movement and feeling to photos, don’t be afraid of it.
Here’s your helpful tips- dads are so great in khaki pants / cream textured shirts or deep olive greens. These shirts can be heathered or linen button ups or tees but bonus points if they have some sort of texture and feel to them rather then a straight tee.
With the babes- pick one to be a pattern. Don’t mix strips or floral together things can get a little busy. Right now my least favorite thing to edit are blues, sometimes they wash people out or pull super pigmented in the editing process. I LOVE boys in overalls right now.
Don’t be afraid to ask about the client closet! Most every dress you see on this page is owned by me and up for grabs for use with session. With peak fall coming booking is filling fast.
