We need our Renaissance fair to stay in Brevard...
So many of our customers love going there....
Friends,
We've come to a big moment in our history. On April 23rd we are attending two council meetings, and we need your help.
If you’d like the Brevard Renaissance Fair to stay in Melbourne, this is likely our last opportunity to make it happen.
For the past few months, we have met with almost every government official in Brevard County. We’ve looked at private land, looked at parks, and negotiated our butts off.
And we think we’ve collectively come to a solution that involves cooperation between the Brevard Renaissance Fair, the City of Melbourne and the Brevard County Commissioners,
Due to your unwavering dedication, we’ve gotten this far. Every email, phone call, and comment has rocked the local government on their heels and they’re worried. They’re worried about the negative effect our absence will have on the economy. They’re worried about losing their jobs.
So here we are, at a crossroads. If you can find the time to do so, please join us at the following meetings on April 23rd:
Brevard County Board of County Commissioners
Commission Chambers - Brevard County Planning and Development
Melbourne, FL 32940
9:00 AM, April 23rd
Melbourne City Council Meeting
Council Chamber @ City Hall
900 E. Strawbridge Ave.
Melbourne, FL 32901
6:30 PM, April 23rd
We’re asking everyone to come wearing red, so the commissioners and city council can see how much support we have within the community.
For those of you who can’t make it, you can still show your support by liking, commenting, and sharing this post. You can also email and call the commissioners to show your support for a solution that involves keeping Brevard in Brevard.
If all goes well, we hope to announce positive news in the next week about our 2025 site and dates!
