Riley Ice Arena & Community Events Center Indoor Ice Arena that is open from August to June yearly

The Victor J Riley Arena and Event Center is a non-profit organization, governed by a member selected committee, comprised of supporters and volunteers. The Arena's goals are to promote a healthy community, to provide leadership and educational opportunities that enhance the self-esteem and life skills of our youth, and to offer healthy alternatives for young and old alike. From mid-August through

March, the center operates as the home of the Park County Youth Hockey Association, Yellowstone Quake Tier III Junior Hockey Team, and the Absaroka Figure Skating Club. During the rest of the year, the arena serves as a community events center for a variety of conventions, gatherings, and community events.

You’re signing up for more than endless teeth-chattering hours sitting in frozen stands at a frigid rink.
You’re also signing up for awkward first encounters with new parents.
For a backseat full of competitively rowdy (and stinky) kiddos.
For a pretty penny in shiny new equipment.
And for a lifetime supply of OxiClean with a membership to the 'where the hell did you leave your neck-guard’ club.
But Mama, I also feel you should know…
You’re signing up for those new parents to become a family like no other.
For those kids to become beloved family that you root for as loud as your own.
For that little stick to become your most prized trophy.
For those tiny, smelly skates to become precious keepsakes.
And for those fleeting hours on cold-hardened bleachers, to become cozy memories that last a lifetime.
So, while you’re about to sign your kid up for hockey...
You’re signing up to play a part in one of the greatest games.

Years from today, you’ll look at the new moms signing up their little kids.
