Falling in love with the right partner is difficult. Not the love itself, but rather the journey of self discovery and transformation to become someone who is ready to give it away. To find someone worthy to be loved by you for all your strengths and weaknesses. To find someone who will challenge you and grow you always, supporting you with good will and good intentions the whole time. To find that person is magic.

5 Things to Remember on Your Wedding Day:

The Marriage Certificate. An important one to making the day official. Pack it first so you don’t leave it behind.

An extra shirt for the groom. This one isn’t necessary but man, it comes in handy and feels so good to have as a backup. The day has a lot of moving parts and sweat will happen. Keep an extra change of shirt around to keep feeling comfortable and fresh all day long.

A couple of copies of the timeline. Keeping a few of these in key areas of the day will help your bridal party and all helping hands on track for the day. It will also help you not have to answer the same questions over and over again, Afterall it’s on the timeline!

A copy of the Invitations. This will continue to add your personal touch and colors to some of your detail shots provided by your photographers.

A speaker! Set the vibe right and get some tunes playing. Not only will this help ease some stress, it will get everyone in an excited state to have fun and hype you up for the day. Get moving, get dancing, listen to good music.

Three wedding photography tips for the day:

Finding a good framing doesn’t always mean you have frame your subject with the landscape. For detailed shots, try using arms and hands for leading lines to draw you to the subject’s focal point. Is your couple kissing in this photo? Bring a hand to the chin and get a close up.

Change positions often to get different angles of your clients too. This is important because sometimes people favor different sides of their face. They might not disclose it to you, but getting different angles of your couple negates the need to even ask. Provide your clients with choice.

Always be personable. Opening up the dialogue as a photographer is very important because you are the one directing your subjects. It is your specific task to make them feel at ease in front of your camera. Encourage them to reflect on their love, crack some light jokes, or do something silly. This is a vital piece in providing clients authentic photos rather than just rigidly posed moments.

Get out there and shoot your best! You got this!

Being a partner for someone is no easy task.

It’s a choice made every day, multiple times a day. It’s being thoughtful all of the time. It’s wanting the best for your person and doing everything in your power to encourage them to be themselves. It’s allowing room for the inevitable evolving of each other and being excited to go through different seasons of life together. It’s putting each other above the rest. Being forever on their side, but challenging each other for the best possible pathways of growth. It’s communicating your feelings all the time.

Being open and vulnerable with a partner you choose is the reward of a lifetime.
