Hello again! Whist Melons has been a bit of a reconstruction site, my online presence has dwindled drastically. Therefore, I’d like to start a weekly recipe share to connect with you. On this week’s recipe share, we’re making a fresh Jalapeno Cranberry Sauce. Cranberry sauce is not just for Thanksgiving ok, they are in season all December long, and this is my favorite way to make a spicy, sweet, & punchy chutney to garnish the table for all of your holiday parties. The fresh jalapeno adds the kick, the orange juice sweet, citrus acidity, and the honey adds sweetness to even out the sour fresh cranberries. My goal was to minimize the granulated sugar, so I only added 2 tablespoons. If you want, you can eliminate it completely. I just recommend adding a bit more honey if you do! Cook everything down together for just 12-15 minutes, mixing the jalapeno at the end. This is perfect for accompanying roasted meats, charcuterie boards, or topping baked brie. Jalapeno Cranberry Sauce-1 bag (12 oz) fresh cranberries-1 jalapeno, finely diced-2 tbsp sugar -¼ c. honey-½ c. orange juice-¼ c. water if necessary for desired consistencyAs always, adjust to your taste! Add a pinch of salt, more or less sugar, a splash of apple cider vinegar, etc. Always make it yours <3I should also add that Melons is still actively booking caterings. Please reach out via email at [email protected] for any and all catering & private chef needs. Thank you, and Happy Holidays!! 🎉🎁🎄🎊❄️.....#recipeshare #cranberrysauce #eatingseasonally #holidayrecipes
Hi everyone! Some changes are happening for Melons, and I’m so excited to share with you. Over the last few months I’ve been working on obtaining my personal training and nutrition coaching certifications to intertwine with Melons. Health and wellness has always been a huge priority for me; a healthy lifestyle and diet is so important, so special, and sacred to our human body and mind. When asked what my soul purpose is, the answer is always “to change people’s lives through food”. It could be through perspective, inspiration, accessibility, or changing the way you eat and (most importantly) feel entirely. All this to say, I will be taking the next few months to finish these certifications, and rework the way Melons operates, meaning no weekly specials for now. Melons is still available for private meal prep requests, the events we have booked, and can still take on any private events in the meantime. My goal is to come back with better structure, to better serve you. It’s been an incredible first two years, and I can’t WAIT for growth and for what’s to come. I hope you’re all having a perfect summer!!
