Forty weeks pregnant with baby number five and excited for this new growth of our family. 🌼

When choosing a business name, I thought about what would represent what we do and also what we believe. I’m a flower farmer - we grow flowers and watch the plants go from seed, to looking like a w**d, to seeing buds form, to the sudden show of color and beauty as the blossom emerges from that plant that once was a tiny, insignificant looking seed.

That seed was designed with the ability to follow a pattern of growth and the potential to be a beautiful blessing to others. But, that seed would remain a seed if it was never planted and tended to. If the hard work and investment was never made. It is hard work to tend to a garden - more than you would expect. It seems so idyllic! But the reality is that in this world you have to deal with w**ds and draught and pest pressure and diseases, and you don’t get to choose when those pressures arise. If you do not tend to those things when they spring up, they overtake and will kill the growth.

Life and family is so much the same - we have such great potential and it takes work and you have to be attentive to pick the w**ds as they spring up and water the grounds that are dry and thirsty. We were designed to be glorious, and ultimately a blessing to others. But we must tend the garden faithfully. Also knowing that the design and outcome is not entirely our own. God made the seed to flower, he made the dirt to provide nutrients, and the water to sustain. Those things alone are just seeds and dirt and water - it is up to us to take the potential and be faithful with it and trust the process and be joyful in the toil and do not become weary of doing good. What may just look like a w**dy patch in your life right now could be not far away from bursting with vibrant life!

Keep up the good work, keep fighting the good fight, keep giving God the glory for designing such wonderful outcomes. Pursue the new growth and pursue the bloom.

Yesterday was beautiful and drenched in love. 💙

Stunning momma to be was literally my first ever client, buying my first ever arrangement that I listed as available. Skip forward to now and her sweet momma, knowing how much Joya loves flowers, reached out to me to surround them in flowers for her baby shower. 🥹 It was an honor and a true pleasure to do this event.

Well, where have I been? I’ve been busy throwing up, and trying not to throw up. I’ve been taking naps and taking in the holiday season with our four kids, before there are five. 🥹✨

Baby #5 (a slightly unexpected, but welcome addition to our clan) is due June 2nd. 🤍

I’m taking the month of May and June off from doing any weddings, but my husband gets a whole 8 weeks of paid paternity leave after I have the baby to help me with my events come July (I’ll also probably avoid early July dates).

We’ll still be growing our own flowers this Spring/Summer and will be looking for people who are interested in weekly bouquets and arrangements. 💐 We had so much fun last year and are so excited to be offering our garden flowers again in 2024!

🤍 Some surprising facts about me:

1~ I did not hire a florist for my wedding (8 years ago). We had a budget of $1,500 dollars for the WHOLE wedding, beginning to end. I couldn’t afford to hire a florist - something that I don’t want you to experience yourself. Are you working with a limited budget? Reach out! I’d love to help you.

2~ We have four kids.

3~ I am 27 years old.

4~ I know what you’re thinking, I got married at 19 *and then* got pregnant. 😉

5~ I have moved over 30 times in my life. More than half my life has been spent in Idaho though, and this is where I will die (Lord Willing).

6~ We are growing over 3,000 flowering plants this next year to help provide local, organic garden florals for our community.

7~ I was not raised growing anything. We lived in small apartments and were constantly moving around - never gave me a chance to cultivate those talents.

8~ I enjoy playing sports. I loved playing basketball when I was younger and now just mainly compete with my husband’s super athletic family at get-togethers. They will turn anything into a sweaty competition.

9~ I did not plan on becoming a wedding florist. I had surprisingly been asked to do some weddings and events and I enjoyed it so much and gained the much needed confidence to pursue this as a more serious carrier. Kids still come first though. 🤍
