Chad Jones has been in radio for years and has that distinctive voice that can Emcee everything from school dances to the most intense wedding parties. You can hear Chad on the morning drive show on KRDQ radio and occasionally Chad hosts the popular Saturday morning "Bop Shop Saturday" radio show. Chad is also the radio voice of the Colby Eagles. Alex - I was born and raised in Southwest Kansas and grew up in a very musical family. I have played the bass guitar for around 3 years and love to play and listen to all genres of music! I am attending Fort Hays State University. Austin - I've been playing guitar for five or six years and love making music with my father and brothers. I love all kinds of music and am open to playing or listening to many different genres. Goodland, Kansas – July 12th – It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Curtis Duncan, a cherished member of our broadcasting family and a pillar of the Northwest Kansas community. Curtis, who dedicated nearly 30 years of his life to our stations, passed away last night, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional service and heartfelt connection.

Curtis Duncan’s career was marked by his unwavering commitment to his craft and his community. In 2019, he was honored with the Sonny Slater Award for Service to the Station and Community, a testament to his outstanding contributions. His work earned numerous accolades from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters for his exceptional news and weather coverage, showcasing his dedication and excellence in journalism.

Known for his unparalleled enthusiasm and dedication, Curtis was a constant presence in Goodland and the surrounding areas. Whether reporting on local events or engaging with community leaders, educators, and students, Curtis’s passion for storytelling and his genuine interest in the lives of those he served made him an indispensable part of the community. His presence at local events, from school activities to town meetings, was a hallmark of his commitment to the people of Northwest Kansas.

Curtis’s impact on our station, our listeners, and the community cannot be overstated. He was not just a broadcaster; he was a friend, a mentor, and a source of reliable information and support. His absence leaves a void that will be deeply felt by his family, our staff, and the many residents of Northwest Kansas who knew and loved him.

As we grieve the loss of Curtis Duncan, we take comfort in the indelible mark he has left on our hearts and the community he so dearly cherished. Information regarding a memorial service will be made available soon. In the meantime, we invite everyone to join us in honoring his remarkable life and celebrating the profound impact he made.
