Just a heads up – when storms roll in and schools close, our store will be closing too. ⛈️ Safety is always first on our list, and we want you to stay safe off the dance floor! If schools shut down, that’s your sign that we’re closed as well. Thank you for understanding and stay safe, dancers! 💃🏽💨

The dance community is not okay The sadness and shock is still so strong. We mourn the loss of someone who transformed the art of ballet and the lives of everyone who had the honor to witness her journey.
She was so young and her life began with such unimaginable circumstances, she turned into her dream life of becoming a Ballerina.

We reached out to her a couple of times to honor her with our Persivillient Award from Permission To F.L.Y (our schedules could never coincide).

Read her book Taking Flight. There are no words except to call her a Persevilient woman (persevere+resillient = unstoppable).

Through her memoir, Taking Flight: From War Orphan to Star Ballerina, DePrince shared her inspiring journey of resilience and triumph, which has been translated into multiple languages and published in twelve countries. Her follow-up book, Ballet Dreams, further solidified her impact, extending her influence far beyond the stage.
DePrince was also a dedicated humanitarian, advocating for children affected by conflict and violence. She served as an Ambassador for War Child Holland and hosted her gala, Dare to Dream, which was dedicated to promoting the well-being and mental health of children living in war zones.
