Today would have been my Mama’s 85th birthday. I love Juneteenth and in her honor I made her famous salmon croquettes, broccoli and kale, Mac and cheese with sweet honey cornbread. Our Deddy and us loved them. love you heavenly Deddy and Mama.

Thought about Mama this morning, made homemade biscuits, scrambled eggs with cheese, turkey bacon, and grits. Mama used to make those big b***y homemade biscuits with eggs and grits in Sunday mornings. I miss my Mama.

Didn’t want to get dressed to go to brunch but had to eat before grading papers. So I made fried catfish with shrimp sauce. Grits, deep roasted potatoes for garnish and homemade sweet cornbread muffins. I know most people would put the sauce over the grits…. But my hubby said naw..🤣🤣

So I thing happened.. I had a client who asked if I could chicken and waffles…challenge accepted. I made Belgium waffles and fried wings with a honey butter and spicy rub for breakfast. They were the bomb.

Please share with anybody who lives in College station that has 40 foot trailer or ANY commercial vehicle OR someone who cares about when PRiVILEGE wins. If this passes they will have to park THEIR vehicle in Bryan or PAY somewhere ( only one lot has said they coulds). If you care logon or COME in person. It is ironic that all the bigger issues we have in town the city council is focussing on limiting access to small minority owned busine. One councilman stated “ they should get someone to make a parking lot for that purpose that’s what good business men do.” A so-called concerned citizen states” she doesn’t like it cause it makes the city look trashy”. Sounds like it is coming from a place of privilege also remember there is NO individuals from underrepresented populations on the board. This is a targeted effort at a specific group of people…silence gets you nothing…..if you were tagged it’s because you have influence.
