Looking for wedding/event decor, linens, tables, chairs, etc? We have to be out of this building by August 31st. So, we’re having a three day sale to reduce the amount we have to move. We’ve spent the last 13 years in this building and have so much stuff!! Sale will be Thursday August 29th 12-6, Friday August 30th 9-2 and Saturday August 31st from 7-12. With trying to pull everything together for the sale, get stuff moved AND continue to run our business and keep cooking food, I just don’t have time to answer everyone’s questions on pricing. Sorry!!!! We will have everything out to sell begining Thursday at noon.

Most of the ingredients (everything but the flour and powdered sugar) in breakfast this morning came from the Collierville Farmer’s Market - eggs, milk, butter, peaches, blueberries- all fresh and delicious!!

It is with a heavy heart, we need to let you know that Simply Done will not be able to continue operating out of the little church on Walnut Street. As of August 31, our 13 years there will come to an end due to circumstances beyond our control.

HOWEVER, we will ABSOLUTELY continue our catering services and our weekly meal pick up (we will put out info on meal pick up location and instructions soon). We will just no longer have a venue. We will be more than happy to help you find the perfect spot for your party and, of course, provide delicious fare for all your special events.

It has been such an honor to share in the special moments of so many of your lives with bridal showers, baby showers, weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, bridesmaids events, graduation parties and so much more! We have so many fond memories there and we know many of you do as well.

God has, and will continue to, bless our family and our business in this amazing town and we have no doubts whatsoever that He will continue to do so. Again, we will continue our catering services and will continue to create fabulous food and beautiful events for you.

It’s Collierville Farmers Market Day!! I had a few events today so I was literally only able to run by for a few minutes right before they closed, but still found some delicious ingredients. For dinner tonight, we enjoyed grilled peaches and buratta with fresh basil from our back yard, drizzled with ginger honey from Rhodes Farms and sprinkled with pistachios. We also had grilled Red Snapper from Paradise Seafood with Peach Salsa. Soooo good!

We will not have weekly meals on July 3rd. We’re taking a little time off to enjoy our family and friends! We’ll be back the following week with more summertime deliciousness! Enjoy the 4th!!

Sometimes you get to do your job for the ones you love the most. This past weekend I had the pleasure of hosting this “Baby in Bloom” baby shower for my beautiful daughter-in-law. I can’t wait to welcome Ophelia Rose Milam - my very first granddaughter!!

For those of you who have not heard. We are not doing boxed lunches for the concerts this year. There are a ton of other great options you will find on the Square. Enjoy the concerts!!! We’ll see you out there.

It’s not just y’all I haven’t been cooking for during the holidays. I’ve barely even cooked at home either. BUT. . . Tonight I made this North African Lamb Peanut and Spinach Stew. It was spicy, savory and yummy!! Needless to say, Jeff is happy I’m back in the kitchen.

What are you doing with Thanksgiving leftovers? We used ours for breakfast this morning - sweet potato and red potato hash with leftover ham and turkey. I even had a few leftover herbs to add to the mix.
