Let me start off by saying, I am truly honored by being the chosen photographer, to capture such a HUGE day in the lives of Adam and Haley Johnson’s wedding. This was by far, one of the most meaningful weddings I’ve ever shot. I have taken pictures of Adam, since he was barley able to walk. I took his prom pictures with his beautiful bride a few years ago. And now, I am absolutely humbled to be his wedding photographer. These are just a few pics from Adam’s and Haley’s BIG day. I hope you see what my photography represents in these few photographs. Thank you Adam and Haley for trusting me to capture such a HUGE milestone in your lives!!!

How in the world can I only post a few of Mike and Ashley's wedding day, when this venue is SO perfect!! Mike and Ashley, truly had the best of everything at their PERFECT wedding! I have been a wedding photographer for at least 14 years and I can honestly say that the Peaks of Otter is BY FAR my absolute favorite wedding venue and there is absolutely no need for an explanation!

With Steve Austin Photography, you will get the shoot itself, at the destination of your choice (whether picked by me or your own ideas and you will NOT get the fake backdrop treatment ), ALL images edited and enhanced (if need be). Your formal (Drape or tux), with many to choose from! Your child can change outfits as many times as they’d like and the whole shoot will last up to ABOUT 2 hours! Your child will get the session they deserve instead of the “next in line” treatment the contracted schools get! AND, did I forget to mention... YOU GET ALL of the photos AT NO ADDITIONAL COST! Facebook will not let me add a caption to this photo that I have already posted, so I will share it and add the caption that this photo truly deserves! THIS is my FAVORITE picture captured at Virginia Zentmeyer and Joe's wedding. NOT because it is photographically perfect on the thirds like photographers are trained to chase. Photographically speaking, this image is very "busy", leading the eye all over the place, which is typically NOT what photographers chase.
HOWEVER... Let me tell you what this photograph DOES have that COMPLETELY defies the photography "rules", in my personal and professional opinion. In THIS photograph, you have a groom (trying to hold it together), seeing his bride for the first time in her wedding dress. You have two mothers. One that can't hold back the emotions that she feels for her baby girl, getting ready to be married to the man of her dreams. The other, expressing such emotional relief, seeing the woman that makes her son complete. And last, but not least... A man of God. Standing ready to join these two together, as husband and wife.
I did not take this photograph! My BEAUTIFUL assistant, BEST friend, my rock, my wife, took this picture and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it!
The story that this one image tells, is the absolute HEART of Steve Austin Photography!
