We have filled fermentors again! Today is another brew day for Bill so the 4th tank will be filled and then we wait.....

Hello Everyone:

I am truly overwhelmed by the love, kindness, and generosity you have all shown me at my retirement party. Words cannot fully express how much it meant to me to celebrate this special milestone surrounded by such wonderful people.

Looking around the room that evening, I was reminded of all the incredible moments, friendships, and experiences that have shaped my journey over the last 26 years. Each of you has played a part in my career, the brewery, and in my life, and I am deeply grateful for the support, laughter, and memories we’ve shared.

Thank you for the thoughtful gifts, and, most of all, for your presence. I will carry your kind words and well wishes with me as I step into this next chapter of my life. While I may be retiring from Westfield School District, I will never retire from cherishing the friendships I have built over the years.

Please stay in touch, and let’s continue making memories together. From the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone!

PRIVATE PARTY TONIGHT!!

I know it will look like we are open tonight but we are catering to a private event.

Bill has resigned from the day job so we will be celebrating with his co-workers as well as some of our closest friends.

Please know we value all of you and if we had the space it would be open tonight to all.

With that being said , it will only be another 2 weeks before you all can come and congratulate him yourself!!

Of coarse the picture may not seem to fit but yet….it does!
In typical Bill & Wendy fashion when you find a deal ya gotta take it!!
Doors will be open by 3:00pm HOPEFULLY! I may not get a shower but hey…..it’s not about me!

2025 MUG CLUB ~ MEMBERSHIP NOW OPEN!!!

Club Perks are as follows:

1) First pour is 1/2 price on each visit with us (no discount on fundraiser brews)
2) Birthday - 1 Free pour & $5 off your food order during your birthday month
3) 10% off swag
4) $2 off crowlers
5) Silver Hook drawing - This is our "sign in". We hold a drawing weekly. When you stop in and buy a pint, you will be asked to sign in.(ultimately, it is on you to remember) If your mug number is drawn the following week, you win the silver hook. Silver Hook means your mug fills are half price the next Friday & Saturday. Watch Facebook weekly for the announcement of our winner or ......loser.
6) Free Monthly Flight (includes 5 samples - you will find coupons in your mugs)
7) 2025 MRBC Mug Member T-Shirt (colors: Black, Red, Gray, Blue, Pink, Purple, Green, Coral.)
😎 You will get to take your mug home with you at the end of the season. (Season being approx. 8 months)

Cost:
Payment needs to be made at time of placing your order. There is a $3.50 fee for the card.

5 year member - $75
Current Member - $100 (under 4 years)
New Member - $150

Rules:

1) Mugs are 1 per member, it cannot be shared.
2) Discounts only apply to one person / one mug
3) If you break it, you replace it. If we break it, we replace it.
4) You will need to join our private mug club group in order to keep up with reminders and news pertaining to the 2025 Mug Club.
5) A deadline for taking home your mugs will be posted in the private group. If the mug is not picked up by the deadline, or arrangements made to pick up, then the mug is forfeited back to Mecan River Brewing Company.
6) If your birthday month is during our off season, no worries, you will find a coupon for your perks to use at a designated time that we will determine.

Current Members, If you plan on joining again and you want to keep your number, let us know as soon as you can. You will have until January 10th to keep your number.
After January 10, 2025 we will open up to our "wait list" or newcomers so they can get in.

What I need to know when you call in: Your Birthdate , Your address, Your email, your card number and your phone number.

MRBC is in need of a few great people to help us with a busy 2025 summer season!

We are looking for Bar Keep and Kitchen help. Must be available Fridays, Saturdays and possibly Sundays from the end of May through the end of September. Scheduling is flexible with vacations and special events.

Bar Keep ~ Assisting with pouring tap brews, checking on tables inside and out. Attention to detail and a willingness to go above and beyond when the need arises.

Kitchen Help ~ Open to learning the art of artisan pizzas, a revolving menu and delivers food to bartenders for delivery to customers. Washing dishes and learning the end of week breakdown.

Requirements for this position:

Top notch customer service skill
Attention to detail
Punctual (early is on time, on time is late)
Go above and beyond the call of duty when the need arises
A willingness to learn the position or any new thing that comes along

Alisha Berleth 2024 ~ Creator of "Turbulence" Breast Cancer Awareness Brew Made by Women, For Women Mecan River Brewing Company's 1st Annual "Hops for Hope" This video is a short piece of her dedication and then the first tap of her creation. 🎀 It was an amazing day, an amazing event for an all so deserving soul. She had so much support from family, friends and complete strangers! Thank you all for coming to share your stories!! So many of you I had no idea fought this battle. Bill & I see you and hear you. Please know we wish you all nothing but the best and hope this battle has ended for each of you. (Jonelle, Vicki, Tammy, Donna, Julie & of coarse Alisha!) I want to Thank those of you who kept throwing donations her way; aside from her beer. BREAST CANCER BREW WEEKEND UPDATE: It couldn’t have gone any more perfect than it did. This day will be hard to beat! The girls arrived at 10AM and Alisha took the time to reveal her name for the beer. It was SO perfect and meaningful that we have decided to keep it under wraps until the release night. We are in hopes they all can make it back for that with their spouses. A shout out to Jon….. your artwork…. it took my breath away! Great job!! I hope you can come home for this release! Approximately four weeks she should be ready. So for now her release date is set for October 5, we will monitor and let you all know its progress! A few credits where credit is due: Bill and I were only able to spend time with our friends, our “Alisha family” and customers because of: Jess Palmer Phylisha Rosenberg Corie Meyer Sincere gratitude! Alisha was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. As her battle is nearing the end, she is still fighting and her journey hasn’t been an easy one. Bill and I set out to design a brew day for women, by women and this years 1st Annual recipient is Alisha Berleth!! Long time MRBC Family Member! In this video she is about to learn there are more attendees for this brew besides her and I, her sister is surprising her with flying back from the east coast in order to be a part in brewing her sisters beer. Alisha will not only be brewing HER beer, she will also be naming it! Stay tuned!! A special shoutout to Natalie for taking the video for us!! "Thank You Natalie! ❤

All Because Two People Fell In Love

Well, my guess is you saw that heading and thought...”way too mushy for me” well, just wait a minute and hear me out....it’s literally true. We ended up here because we thought it would be a great idea to blend a family. Yeah, you’d drink alot of beer too, right? Ok, Ok, all jokes aside. Bill and I met later in life so some of the normal discussions you’d have didn’t come along until well, after alot of beers.

We raised three kids, 2 of which are serving our country and the 3rd is out living on her own discovering life. At the point of realizing the kids were all going to be gone, we knew we needed to do something. I having stayed home with the kids would lose my mind in the boredom. I had owned a business before yet tried to go back to my former career as a Surgical Technologist. It became clear that owning a business again was far more appealing. I much preferred my patients to be awake!

Bill had been an Army guy, held his position with the school district for over 20 years and we knew we needed to prepare for our next chapter. Why not do something we love? We had taken on so many hobbies over the years that we just grouped them into THIS......
