Hey Everybody!!
Bill has returned from South Dakota and had a successful hunt. By the end of their week out there they ended up with 17 birds. They battled much wind....which I think is quite normal for "the plains", all in all, they had a great time.
For the upcoming week at MRBC we will be holding a Concealed Carry Class at the brewery Tuesday, November 19 starting at 6:00PM.
Brewery will be open Thursday & Friday from 4 - 8, Saturday 3 - 8.

Last night we had some very special visitors. Most of you know my buddy Danny, he brought in some friends and we shared a friend of ours with him.
I am so happy the visit worked out! Thank you all for coming and a special “Thank You” to Glennys and Ben…..especially Danny….for coming to hang out last night!

Well here we are. The clock is ticking down and we are getting closer to our winter break.
There are some changes to our hours so you will want to take note.
Winter hours are as follows:
Thursdays 4-8
Fridays 4-8
Saturdays 3-8
With that, we also have some closures. They are as follows:
We will be closed on the following dates:
Thursday, November 14
Friday, November 15
Saturday, November 16
Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 28
Saturday, November 30 will be our last day open and hours will be from 3-8. Come and grab a few crowlers and say our good byes until the big thaw!!

First, Bill and I want to give a huge shout out to all of you that have contributed to this fundraiser.
We knew what we had started was a special part of MRBC but we had no idea how responsible for its creation Alisha and her tribe would be.
Mecan River Brewing Company’s 1st Annual “Hops for Hope” was an amazing and heartfelt success. We owe special Thanks to Alisha for being open about her battle, putting her heart & soul into naming this beer and being a part of its birth. Thank you to Jon Miller and his sister for the idea and making it manifest so much bigger than we had envisioned.
Erin….girl, my heart would have broke if you hadn’t been a part of what proved to be a “big deal”….my head is still trying to wrap around.
Cindy Schmidt for being readily available to showcase MRBC for its efforts in our local paper The Resorter. 😊
Jonelle….I wouldn’t have known your story ….which still needs to be fully heard and acknowledged. From a mom heart I know what this did to you….I hope we helped heal that a bit from showcasing your daughter’s support system. 😘💖

Bill is NOT an easy man to shop for....so I guess I am grateful to Warrens Cranfest for guiding to my first big success (in 18 years) in surprising my husband. It's where I found Tim! She had so much support from family, friends and complete strangers! Thank you all for coming to share your stories!! So many of you I had no idea fought this battle. Bill & I see you and hear you. Please know we wish you all nothing but the best and hope this battle has ended for each of you. (Jonelle, Vicki, Tammy, Donna, Julie & of coarse Alisha!)

BREAST CANCER BREW WEEKEND UPDATE:
It couldn’t have gone any more perfect than it did. This day will be hard to beat!
The girls arrived at 10AM and Alisha took the time to reveal her name for the beer. It was SO perfect and meaningful that we have decided to keep it under wraps until the release night. We are in hopes they all can make it back for that with their spouses. A shout out to Jon….. your artwork…. it took my breath away! Great job!! I hope you can come home for this release!
Approximately four weeks she should be ready. So for now her release date is set for October 5, we will monitor and let you all know its progress!

Alisha’s Surprise Announcement
Alisha was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. As her battle is nearing the end, she is still fighting and her journey hasn’t been an easy one. Bill and I set out to design a brew day for women, by women and this years 1st Annual recipient is Alisha Berleth!! Long time MRBC Family Member! In this video she is about to learn there are more attendees for this brew besides her and I, her sister is surprising her with flying back from the east coast in order to be a part in brewing her sisters beer. Alisha will not only be brewing HER beer, she will also be naming it! Stay tuned!!

For those of you asking about our beer and pizza…..WATCH!!!!
Well, my guess is you saw that heading and thought...”way too mushy for me” well, just wait a minute and hear me out....it’s literally true. We ended up here because we thought it would be a great idea to blend a family. Yeah, you’d drink alot of beer too, right? Ok, Ok, all jokes aside. Bill and I met later in life so some of the normal discussions you’d have didn’t come along until well, after alot of beers.
We raised three kids, 2 of which are serving our country and the 3rd is out living on her own discovering life. At the point of realizing the kids were all going to be gone, we knew we needed to do something. I having stayed home with the kids would lose my mind in the boredom. I had owned a business before yet tried to go back to my former career as a Surgical Technologist. It became clear that owning a business again was far more appealing. I much preferred my patients to be awake!
Bill had been an Army guy, held his position with the school district for over 20 years and we knew we needed to prepare for our next chapter. Why not do something we love? We had taken on so many hobbies over the years that we just grouped them into THIS......

So who are we? We are a Nano Brewery, trying to keep things small in order to keep the quality of what we create. We believe in relationship and we believe that truly suffers these days. We want to give back and help to recreate the “relationship” that is slowly dying due to technology. With us, you will find board games, no televisions. You will also find the best fresh homemade pizza around. You will find owners that care to know who their biggest supporters are. And you will find that we will do what we can to make sure we create a product and an atmosphere that is hard to not keep coming back for.
