It’s been a minute since I introduced myself —so hey! I’m Erika, lead planner at WED with Erika.
Seven years ago, I left my hospice nursing career to have some fun, and I’ve never looked back. Nearly 200 weddings later (and almost 40 already on the books this year!), I still pinch myself that this is my job: creating magic, calming chaos, and helping couples actually enjoy the planning process.
I am the most picky eater but have learned to try new things thanks to my hubs. I love Good Neighbors Meeting House waffles, Brussels sprouts, Colorado Springs Omelette Parlor cinnamon rolls, bacon, and Whole Foods Market Chantilly cake (not all together of course 😉) I thought I never wanted kids but being a mother surprised me as my greatest joy in life. I am not girly but love pretty things. I don’t take offense when someone doesn’t like my ideas. I occasionally have purple hair because a 90+ year old woman once told me I might as well because . I went to Walt Disney World for the first time ever this year and became a kid again when I met my favorite character Eeyore!! I am a night owl and an early bird who typically sleeps 6-9hrs a night. I LOVE working from home!
I plan elaborate birthday parties for my kids —even before I started my business. I’m afraid of heights but I’ll scale a ladder to hang 100 disco balls 🪩 or whatever it takes to make the vision come to life. I will be your biggest advocate, the one you can vent and cry to, and I will also call you out if you’re not being true to self. I do not use a stock wedding planning program - I customize the experience for every couple.
I’m a wedding planner, business owner, mama of three girls, wife to my biggest supporter of 19 years, still a licensed registered nurse, and most recently, the sales director at Engaged AF Magazine | Founding Members. I believe your wedding should feel like you—and I’m here to make that happen without the stress.
If you’re new here, say hi! If you’ve been part of this journey, also say hey! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Let’s plan something beautiful together.
