Planning is in my bones. But, I often have to remind myself to save time for myself because I'm always thinking about others and all of the possibilities. In this case, I forgot to slow down yesterday and take cute pictures of the kids in their costumes. I got some on the fly, but, of course, they're blurry, or someone isn't looking at the camera. 🙃 They're still good memories, and we had tons of fun, but I need to remember to add more time for things that I want into my plans.

But don't worry! When you book with Prismatic, you and your well-being are at the forefront of our minds. We always schedule in food and coffee breaks to make sure that you get those few precious minutes to yourself in the middle of getting ready for your special day!

2022 has come and gone. Did things happen like you’d hoped? Did things get away from you as they do for us all sometimes? Don’t let that happen this year. Make 2023 the year that you stopped procrastinating and started doing.

Sounds good in theory, right? But, Debbie, how do we do that? I’ve got you.

1. Make an exhaustive list of everything you could ever want from 2023 (Don’t hold back! No one will see this list but you.)
2. Pick your top four.
3. Start with your first goal and break down what needs to happen in order for it to succeed. It may be that one of these steps actually becomes your real goal. Repeat with the other goals.
4. Assign one goal to each quarter and put it in your calendar. Heck, make it a reminder for every Monday or every day during that quarter.
5. Book a free consult with me to see how I can help you attain these goals and stay on track in 2023. Boom, progress.

🎶It’s the most {stressful} time of the year!🎶 But it doesn’t have to be.

If the holidays have you pulling your hair out or burning the candle at both ends, take a step back and re-evaluate. Ask yourself these questions before you dive into another whirlwind of chaos.

1. Who are you doing this for? If it’s for someone else, make sure that you are aware of that and are ok with it. Remember that giving your time to these people is also a present.
2. Why are you doing it? Is obligation or tradition the main reason? If so, talk with your family/friends. Ask if next year you can switch things up. Traditions should be the basis of a successful holiday, but they should also morph and grow just as your family does.
3. What do you wish you were doing instead? It’s okay to want to stay home, cozy up by the fire, veg out and watch a movie. It’s also okay to wish you were singing “Mele Kalikimaka” from the beach in Hawaii. If not this year, make sure next year you take your wants into account. That includes spending 24/7 with those you love doing everything traditional that you’ve always loved. You do you.

I was able to spend some quality time with my in-laws, watch my littles play with their little cousins and enjoy some quiet small town moments. It was a beautiful, windy day out am I’m thankful for my family’s continued health. What about you?
