When I got asked to coordinate Shelby and Vincent’s wedding, I was over the moon!! For one, they got married in my hometown back in TX. For two, I got to reconnect with so many vendors that knew me as an aspiring wedding coordinator versus what I am now and what my business is today. And three, Shelby and Vincent are one of the cutest and sweetest couples I have had the pleasure to work with. Shelby called me her “fairy godmother” all day and it absolutely is the best compliment I have ever received!!!

Shelby and Vincent got married at The Mill Winery in Abilene, Tx. Everything about this day was so magical. It was the easiest time setting up, and even better, everything was set up before the bride and groom arrived (score!!!). Shelby and Vincent seemed so happy and relaxed through out the day. They got married at 6:30PM that night and it was so perfect. Shelby had the best taste and ideas, from the timing of songs, to the decor, and THE DRESS!!!! Ahh!! Everything was just so amazing! I am so happy to have played such a huge role in Shelby and Vincent’s wedding day. Thank you for trusting me as your wedding coordinator and letting me share in on the magic!! Vanessa is one of the most caring people I have ever met. Not only that, but she is definitely the toughest chick around! For anyone wanting to just get in shape for their wedding, start a healthy diet program, or even just if you need a challenge, Vanessa is your go-to-girl for anything fitness related (and she has the best heart ever). How long have you been in business? I have owned my own training business for 7 Years , I have been in the fitness/bodybuilding world for 10 years.

Explain your services. I help Men and women meet their weight loss goals. That could be body transformation, Bodybuilding shows, Help with hormones and getting their body back on track. I provide custom meal plans and workouts to fit their needs and go over blood work to make sure hormones and thyroid are inline to help us obtain their goals.

What makes you different from other vendors in the same field? I am different because I take a look at the clients blood work, trainers are not taught to do this. However, coming from a bodybuilding background where so many things are manipulated, I have learned to keep an eye on hormones, thyroid and gut functions. If your hormones, thyroid and gut functions are out of line , it will make weight loss and muscle gain very hard .

What does it look like when a client books with you? Do you travel? The client and I will set up a time to meet at my Home where I train most of my clients. We will go over everything in great detail and if they are ready to book, then i will take measurements and go over contract with them then. We also will set up training appointment times at that appointment.

What is your favorite wedding song? Mama Song by Carrie Underwood

What is your favorite wedding trend? Farmhouse trend

If you could only give one piece of advice for the bride and groom’s reading, what would it be? ALways make time to communicate and reconnect daily. FIghts/arguments should be resolved right away, not left to fester.

Kalsey and Anel got married to a themed Gatsby wedding at the Mining Exchange in Colorado Springs and what a beautiful wedding it was. Sometimes my brides throw me a curveball and are way more chill than I am ever expecting. Not only did Kalsey have a chill mind throughout the whole entire planning process but she also had a huge smile on her face the whole entire day of her wedding! This was such a fun group, from the hooping and hollering at the ceremony, to one of the groomsmen losing his phone and when I found it everyone cheering, to the break-dances that happened that night, this day was so much fun and was full of such wonderful vendors! Why does FBE love this vendor?

I had the pleasure of learning about the wedding industry from Eric and from his DJ point of view. Not only did Eric teach me all the basics to when it comes to a wedding, but he also taught me about professionalism, the importance of someone’s wedding day, and that you must go above and beyond for the client always. Not only is this a great business that will fulfill all your DJ wishes, but this is a business that is near and dear to my heart.

Why did you get into the wedding industry? I became a mobile DJ after five years as a radio and club DJ. Once I began helping couples with their wedding celebrations, I realized how rewarding it is to provide a service that really can make a positive difference for them.

How long have you been in business? 30 years!

How many events have you worked on? Haven’t seriously thought about that…over 300…

Explain your services. We offer a unique approach to our clients, our wedding clients particularly. We assist with reception planning for each couple with focuses on time management, efficiency and a happy overall atmosphere. We offer a two-person team approach to each wedding. Our clients receive a Master of Ceremonies/Event Director and professional DJ. Our clients have the luxury of an event director taking care of the timeline and being the spokesperson and a DJ looking out for all aspects of atmosphere.

What makes you different from other vendors in the same field? Our two-person team approach is quite unique for our industry. I dare say that our caring for our clients and desire for each event to be outstanding is also unique. Our contracts are also not based upon how long the celebration lasts like most DJ services. Another small factor is that we are always well dressed for our events.

What does it look like when a client books with you? Do you travel? We offer a No-Cost Consultation to each potential client to discuss their needs, desires, and details of their celebration. We then discuss our service options that would be beneficial to them and offer them a quote for our services. We spend several hours meeting with our couples and planning prior to the wedding date to prepare. Yes, we are happy to travel wherever we are needed to service our clients. We are based in Texas, but I believe wedding couples in Colorado would benefit greatly from our expertise.

What is your favorite wedding song? What is your favorite wedding trend? I thoroughly enjoy when a wedding couple choices to do things out of the ordinary. That’s one of the perks of our planning time. Talking about options that are reflective of the couple’s personalities.

If you could only give one piece of advice for the bride and groom’s reading, what would it be? Make no mistake, the one who controls the mic, controls the atmosphere. Make sure you know and trust the actual person who will control the tempo and the feel of your special day.
