Welcome Michael Learned!
Introducing Executive Chef Michael Learned.
Mike’s love for cooking with his family led him from Manhattan, Kansas to his studies at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in San Francisco.
Before coming to Colorado Springs, Chef Michael held the position of Executive Chef at Robert Hall Winery in Paso Robles, California where he created farm-to-table food and wine pairing experiences and scratch menu items. Previously, Chef Michael was the Executive Chef at Cass Winery in Paso Robles, and helped the team get recognized as one of USA Today’s top winery restaurants.
As General Manager and Corporate Chef de Cuisine for the Kansas City Power and Light Concepts in 2008, Michael planned and set up operations for seven different restaurants and five bars in the growing downtown scene in Kansas City, Missouri.
Elevating his passion for bold flavors, Mike honed his food pairing skills during his tenure as Executive Chef and Pastry Chef at Estrella Restaurant in Central Coast California. Specializing in beer pairings dinners, he is passionate about the endless possibilities of teaming up with local and regional Colorado craft beer brewers.
Michael is looking forward to applying his knowledge to the Picnic Basket and Buffalo Gals menus, as well as bringing fresh takes on traditional and modern classics for the Cravings brand. We are excited to have Chef Michael join our crazy and talented PB family and know that he will be a great addition to our team.
