Transforming trade show booths into unforgettable experiences — just one of the many services Eddy Sound can provide.

At this year’s D2DCON Direct Sales Conference in Salt Lake City, Cypher’s booth stood out on the convention floor with its bold, immersive design. Featuring (2) 45-panel SquareV V3w video walls and (4) MaxHub 4K 65” monitors, we created an engaging space for attendees to interact with Cypher’s team and experience their financial software up close.

Stunning lifestyle videos played on the video walls, creating a dynamic backdrop, while two of the MaxHub monitors displayed the software and the other two featured digital signage via content loaded onto the internal OS. LED fixtures illuminated the truss and added warmth and energy to the booth, inviting attendees to stop by and learn more.

It was a truly MEGA Christmas at Discovery Church Colorado for their “Simply Christmas” Christmas Eve services. With regular services on Sunday the 22nd, we had to get creative in implementing our signature over-the-top production—without it being noticed before the services on the 23rd and 24th. As the saying goes, “out of sight, out of mind,” and that’s exactly what we did. To complete the installation of additional lighting for Christmas Eve, we strategically hid the fixtures overhead, blending them seamlessly with the COSCityHub house rig. While there were a few extra fixtures on stage, the production team ensured they stayed out of sight until the Christmas Eve services to keep the surprise intact.

So, what made it so MEGA? The majority of the fixtures we used came from our MegaLite inventory: 16 EB1s, 16 EW1s, and 4 M-Spheres, all of which made a remarkable impact. To enhance the backlighting, we placed 8 Chauvet Professional STRIKE Array 2Cs on the ground, upstage of the performers. While we’ve added more lighting in the past, this time, careful fixture selection allowed us to create a substantial visual impact with just 44 additional lights, filling the room with epic beams of light.

Based on the thousands of photos we captured, we can confidently say that Christmas at DCC was once again a resounding success!

X-Laser’s LDI 2023 Booth → A Sneak Peek of 2024!

For the past two years, Eddy Sound has proudly partnered with X-Laser to design, transport, build, and program their booth for the Live Design International trade show in Las Vegas. Of course, this massive effort takes a team—so many talented people and companies collaborate to make this vision come to life. We’re just one piece of the puzzle!

Tomorrow, the 2024 show floor opens, and X-Laser will debut their Triton T Series IP65 laser projectors. We’re stoked to play a small role in showcasing such awesome innovation!

In early November, after nine months of planning and preparation, Eddy Sound was ecstatic to work alongside Visit Aurora to present the inaugural Aurora Borealis Festival. Our initial contact with Visit Aurora was to discuss the creation of an Aurora Borealis effect produced with high powered lasers. Of course no man-made effect can perfectly re-create the Northern Lights, but we were able to provide a breathtaking and immersive experience for the thousands of people in attendance each evening.

In addition to the Aurora Borealis effect, we time coded three laser shows. Each evening, we ran one 10-minute and two 5-minute shows when not showcasing the Northern Lights effect. To make this happen, we had 9 X-Laser Skywriter HPX M-20 laser projectors and 4 X-Laser Skywriter HPX M-10 laser projectors. To generate the atmosphere to see the Aurora Borealis and laser shows, we used 6 Ultratec Radiance Hazers, 8 HazeBase Hazer Pros, and 4 Antari F-6 Fazers. These units worked non-stop to assist in making what you see in this photo.

All in-ears on stage with one incredible sounding Martin Audio XE300 providing additional monitoring to singer, songwriter, and piano player Phil Vassar. Bi-amped with an iKON iK81, there were no issues providing clear and impact audio at the keyboard position. Not only does the XE300 sound incredible, it looks beautiful bathed in the stage wash, but we’re probably a little bias in our opinion. If you’re looking for some unbelievable monitors for you next event, we’d love to show you just how epic the XE line of speakers are.

As we load-in for the 2024 edition of the Pine Creek High School Senior Capping Ceremony, let’s reflect on our journey since 2022. When Pine Creek sought to transition their ceremony from a hotel ballroom to their gymnasium, they turned to us for assistance. Initially, we provided lighting and pipe and drape. In 2023 (pictured here), we enhanced the experience with sound reinforcement.

Now, as we prep for the 2024 event this evening, we’re once again offering a comprehensive package: sound reinforcement, lighting, and soft goods, along with the technical expertise to set up, manage the event, and dismantle it later tonight.

Congratulations to the Pine Creek seniors who will graduate in just a few months! We’re honored to be a part of this memorable occasion.

SquareV V3w, a premium 3.9 pixel pitch LED panel we added to our inventory in late 2022. With 132 panels in our inventory, we can deploy two 66 panel walls (18.04 ft. wide by 9.84 ft. tall) simultaneously. Of course, they can be used creatively in many other ways.

Recently, we held a game night in the Eddy Sound warehouse, also known as the Lighting Lab, for our employees and some close industry friends. In Eddy Sound fashion, we couldn’t just set-up a single wall. Instead, we developed a great concept to use for an esports tournament and tested some of our idea within the set-up. Two 45 panel walls with our new ADJ Jolt Panel and Bar FXs for eye candy. Throw in our DataVideo HS-3200 Mobile Cast switcher and a Martin Audio sound system; the impact was simply incredible. With four separate gaming systems to switch between, it made for hours of enjoyment and fierce competition. We can’t wait to take this set-up to one of our clients.

Here’s a throwback to December 31, 2022 when the Night of Magnificence was held at the COSCityHub in Colorado Springs, CO. Since we’re easily enamored by wide shots taken from front of house that are filled with confetti, we’d figured it would be a good time to share another. Even though we love the look of confetti, our appreciation goes out to all of the hard working facilities personnel that are in charge of the clean-up. We know the struggle, as we find confetti in our cases months after such joyous nights. Remember, it’s the hard working people behind the scenes that make events great.

It’s become a tradition; midnight on New Year’s Eve 2023 with DJ on the ones and twos. A special thanks to for trusting us with the Annual Bash while they’re taking care of the NYE Gala in a separate event space on property.

When looking at the lighting concept for this year’s event, we went a little old school. We pulled out the Blizzard Lighting Blockhead II’s, Blockhead Big Eyes, and COBZilla RGB’s. Mixed with G-Max 200’s, Stiletto GLO19’s, Hotbox EXAs, Skybox W-DMX’s and TOURnado IP W-DMX’s; we were able to saturate the room with vibrate colors and immense intensity when needed. In total, we deployed just over 80 fixtures and 4 lasers in the space. To have a little fun, we had 4 LD’s operating across two Vista by Chroma-Q systems, busking all night long.

Another successful year of live events complete! We can’t wait to see what 2024 brings us.

Banger Machine by ; a laser banding time code completed in the March of 2021. After having it hidden away on a hard drive for 21 months, it is now live and viewable on our YouTube channel (http://bit.ly/BangerMachine).

Laser Banding. A technique we challenged ourselves with in the Lighting Lab throughout COVID-19 and in our opinion, resident lighting genius , crushed it on this time code. It started with “Slap!” and crescendoed to this beautiful work of art. 2020 through 2021 made quite an imprint on the history of Eddy Sound; our development and exploration into laser banding will forever be one of the positive outcomes from the pandemic.

Interested in the science behind what you’re seeing (in the video)? Laser banding involves the manipulation of the exposure triangle of a camera while altering specific attributes of the laser projector. The results cannot be seen with the naked eye, as in, you cannot see it while standing in the room with the lasers. You have to view the lasers through the camera while in a video format. This still photo cannot provide a look at what was created. To really understand, you have to go watch the video. Trust us when we say, you won’t be disappointed.
