Meet Cortland! He was my best friend and helper at his brother's birthday party today. He was the nicest, most polite child I have dealt with in a long time, and he tended my every need.

I got a voicemail today from a woman who had grown a balloon creation about 3 years ago at a summer event I help staff. She was pregnant at the time, and so my colleague Amber from PopSqueak Balloons made a little girl baby for her.

She kept it, she loved it, she made it part of her birth announcement, she made it the cover of her 1st year photo album for little Jo.

So back to the voicemail. The mom, Karen, tracked me down online and requested another balloon baby because now she's going to have a boy! I decided last minute to add on a "big sister" balloon to accompany it, and it was exactly the right touch.

What a blessed ray of light on a tough day!
