Hey yall!

So this year I am assisting with the chili cookoff and getting a little nervous because I’ve only had like 4 people confirm they would be making a soup.

Please consider donating a crockpot of soup and/or chili that those coming to Eau Claire Baptist on Sunday, January 5, 2025 can sample and vote on for $1. You are able to vote as many times as you’d like for only $1, all monies collected with support our local food pantry.

I’ll also be doing a clothing giveaway for Dolly’s House and still accepting donations of new and gently used clothes and shoes for ALL AGES.

🚨 Could really use Young men, boys, plus size women, 10-12 girls and shoes for all ages. 🚨

"Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!" (Psalm 95:2)

The Bible tells us to give thanks for all things and to rejoice. At Spry’s Durty Kitchen we never want to miss the opportunity first to thank God for being the head of our life and at the forefront of our small business but we never want to take for granted the time to give folks like Koinonia of Columbia, Inc who give us a chance to publicly say thank you.

We don’t have a brick & mortar YET and we don’t have the Google and Yelp reviews or the lengthy portfolios that other caterers might have, personal and private chefs have, or even fancy equipment BUT we do have the passion, the desire to serve, the heart to always provide good quality food made with love in every bite, and the determination to keep going despite the obstacles or challenges we face.

We are so grateful for folks like Rita Dickerson Kelly Strum Sharon Davis Tyesha Cooper Richard Hammond and others who took time out of their day to assist. They never complained. To each of you and others we say thank you from the bottom of our heart.

The young Spry boys are Koinonia scholars and we are so grateful for the opportunity for them to learn about Jesus, learn to be involved in their community, learn to serve their community, and know what it means to be involved beloved community.

In the words of Koinonia’s Board Chair, Mr. Richard Hammond, “Koinonia is the blueprint of what every nonprofit should be doing. 2025 should bring a lot of positive connections/ collaborations . Let's get prepared 😁😁🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

The Koinonia Scholars will present A Koinonia Christmas on December 14. Meet the scholars, listen to music, and enjoy hors d'oeuvres. Doors open at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Family Life Center in Columbia and the program starts at 2:30. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at https://www.koinoniaofcolumbia.org. Koinonia of Columbia is a CBFSC missions partner.
