Happy National Ravioli Day! 🍝 No better day to share photos from one of my favorite family traditions!

Every year, my grandparents (Mammaw & Pappaw) would invite us to their home to make homemade pasta.

In 2010, we came together to share this tradition with our children.

Pappaw mixed and kneaded the dough while Mammaw oversaw the rest! The dough had to be pressed to the perfect thinness and the ravioli filing rolled to the perfectly sized meatball.

This particular year we made over 720 raviolis.

At the end of the day, Mammaw dropped a few dozen in her sauce (that had been simmering all day on the stove) for us to enjoy. The rest would be divided up amongst the families but only after she took out enough to freeze and serve to our families on Christmas Day.

When people ask me how/why I went from being a corporate executive to the owner of a charcuterie catering biz…this is one of the main reasons. Fond memories of sharing beautiful & delicious food with family. After the pandemic shut-downs, I wanted to provide my community with an easy way for them to reconnect with friends and family over beautiful and delicious food. Here we are…3.5 years later providing “Fresh foods for all occasions”.
